Ethan's warm palm touched her forehead to check for fever, and finding none, he spoke urgently, "Lily! Where exactly does it hurt?!"
"Nowhere, I'm fine." Lily lowered her head and desperately wiped away her tears, not understanding why they fell more fiercely the more she wiped.
"Press the elevator down." Ethan coldly instructed.
"Yes, yes, Mr. Blackwood." The female manager hurried to press the floor number.
"No, no need." Lily anxiously stepped forward to hold the female manager, not caring how terrible she looked with tears all over her face. "I'm okay, I just..."
"What just happened?" Ethan stared at her darkly as if he wouldn't let her go without a reason.
Under his gaze, Lily felt compelled to give a reason, her thoughts stiffly turning. After wiping her tears, she made an excuse: "I suddenly thought of my father."
