Chapter 1 - The beginning of a sweet dream.

The clangour of swords resounded in a room and the collision caused sparks to fly around. The room was dimly lit and swords, daggers and other training equipment hung around.

A pair of beautiful dark blue eyes gleamed dangerously then she manoeuvred her way around the flashy sword dance of her partner.

Without a moment of hesitation, she leapt back to escape a lethal punch aimed at her guts.

It was a feint!

Her foresight led her to avoid the chainlong dagger of her opponent as it flew in the air, angrily slashing its way towards her abdomen.

She bent back calmly and the dagger slashed through wind over her face. The hilt of the dagger got closer and she gripped it hard and with a hard tug, she pulled the attacker close, close enough to deliver a devastating blow to the abdomen which left her counterpart writhing in pain.

The bearer of the blue eye lowered her sword and stared at her partner on the floor.

Her eyes narrowed for a bit before her hands quickly flew towards her right side and caught a retaliating punch from the latter.

He was fast and treacherous!

"You never cease to amaze me, dearest sister."  A calm voice chuckled in the darkness.

A faint outline of his face was exposed and a large portion of it was hidden in the lazing shadows. He moved forward into the light and revealed his face.

He was an incredibly pale young man with an overflowing charisma. His light blue eyes lurked with a hint of patience which belied his age and a unique kind of generous smile hung at the corners of his mouth as though plastered there forever.

He slid his hands into the hands of the beautiful lady beside him as a smile slowly found its way to the delicate face of the beauty.

She could be described as a goddess and her dark blue eyes which were her distinctive features glowed consistently in the dimly lit dojo.

"Well, you cannot expect to outsmart your sister who bathed you and taught you how to pee." the blue-eyed beauty responded without a change in her expression. She looked quite happy.

"Sister Ely! That's shameful! Stop talking about it. I am an adult already."  The pale man responded with a pout which made him look like...a cute doll.

A melodious laughter resounded in the training as they walked out. "Yes, yes, you have truly grown up. My little brother Philip has grown up."

Her voice was filled with pride and satisfaction as she walked forward.

They left the underground training arena and were met by two maids who seemed like statues at first glance. They handed them towels which they did the needful with.

"Sister, I heard that the Duke of Sindelworth is visiting, again."  Phillip's voice was calm as always but there was an unmistakable hint of curiosity in there.

Granted, that he was a royal, he had the right to know about it. Ely tilted her head a bit and cleaned her hair thoroughly.

"Oh that, I guess there is some truth in what you heard, but..."

She turned slightly and stared at her brother with a slight question hidden in her blue eyes. "how did you know?"  She asked.

Philip stared at her for a bit before looking ahead with a calm expression on his pale face. Ely studied his face for a bit before she let go of a sigh.

"He did it again, right? That father of ours is an indiscernible man with unknown thoughts."  She sighed once more. "Pay no attention to him. Anyway, the Duke is truly on his way here. Such a mysterious man, I wonder what he talks about with father on a yearly basis."
