"I don't understand... you have everything you need here." Burberry's gentle voice echoed in the burrow hallways as his pupil rushed towards the mess hall.
"Of course you wouldn't understand. You're a numb mindless bot just like the rest of this hive living in this damn tree." Bubbles growled over her shoulder as she grabbed a plate.
Burberry blinked a few times in silence.
"Excuse me? Did you just insult our benevolent tree?" His tone grew a little sharp.
"See what I mean? I just insulted you and your first instinct is to defend the fucking tree!" Bubbles quickly took her share of food and went to grab a seat, not waiting for a reply.
"This tree is what provides us with power. Life. Everything we have been, are, and will be, are all thanks to Emen." Burberry's voice was stern as he sat beside her.
