The reason for living…
For most it is love.
For many it is power.
For others it is vanity.
Lilo's first life had a bountiful amount of the last two. Of the first however…
His first love was his father.
That's usually not the case for young children.
When a mother nurtures their child, it becomes natural for them to gravitate towards that parents over the other.
But a fathers approval. To earn his praise and to be adored by his countenance… it was exceedingly valuable to those of enough age.
Once a child comprehends self consciousness and self worth… they begin to seek it elsewhere.
We are born into the world in a fit of rage, tears, shit, and urin.
There is nothing of value we can possibly pull from within.
Value is instilled within us by our parents. Our teachers. Our peers.
It takes years of building oneself up to be able to derive worth from within.
