After a long pause, Dorothy spoke with curious look, "Miss?"
"Hmm?" Gwendolyn responded.
"What do you think the river will be like?" Dorothy asked.
"I'm not sure, to be honest," Gwendolyn answered. "I imagine it will be beautiful, but also dangerous. Just like everything else we've encountered."
"Dangerous how, Miss?"
"In every way imaginable," Gwendolyn said with a sigh. "There's no telling what sort of obstacles we'll face, or what the consequences might be if we fail."
After a long walk, the two girls eventually arrived at the river, which was flowing swiftly, its surface sparkling in the sunlight.
Dorothy let out a sigh of relief when she saw the bridge.
"Thank goodness it's not destroyed," she remarked, her voice filled with hope.
The bridge was a simple structure, made of wooden planks and rope, and it stretched over the river.
Gwendolyn stared at it, feeling uneasy.
