Chapter 4 - The Malevolent King

King Malgarius Ludovic Sherbourne was growing increasingly frustrated with his men. They had captured many young women, each one more beautiful than the last, but none had satisfied him.

He had a specific vision in mind, a woman who could fulfill his dark desires and ambitions, but so far, none of the captives had met his expectations. His patience was wearing thin, and his anger simmered just beneath the surface, ready to erupt at any moment.

He was sitting on his throne, a magnificent seat made of marble and gold, surrounded by the trappings of power. The room was filled with rich decorations and luxurious furnishings, and the scent of incense hung heavy in the air.

The king surveyed the scene with growing disdain. He had ordered his men to bring him more prisoners, and they had obeyed, but the women they had captured were all unworthy of his attentions.

Many were dirty and unkempt, their clothing tattered and their bodies bruised and beaten. Some had clearly been starved, their cheeks gaunt and their limbs thin and fragile. Others were malnourished, their ribs protruding from their chests.

One of the captives had even tried to escape, and the soldiers had beaten her brutally for her efforts.

The king could feel his temper rising, and his anger boiled over.

"Get those worthless wretches out of my sight!" he roared. "They are not worthy to be in my presence!"

The soldiers moved quickly, dragging the women away and throwing them into the dungeons.

As they faced the harsh reality, the air was heavy with despair. Death loomed darker with each passing moment, casting an oppressive shadow over their spirits.

There was no escape, no point of return. The fate that awaited them was cruel and unforgiving. They would either rot in the dank, dark dungeons, their lives wasting away in misery, or meet a more immediate and brutal end.

"But, my king," one of the men protested, "we've brought you more captives. Surely one of them will please you."

"I want the most beautiful, the most exquisite, the most flawless," the king snapped. "I won't settle for anything less."

"But, my king," the soldier said again, "they're all beautiful. Each one is a goddess in her own right."

The king let out a low growl, and the soldier fell silent.

"Send me another!" the king commanded.

"Yes, my king."

The soldier bowed and left the room.

Moments later, the doors opened, and a new prisoner was brought in.

"Kneel!" the soldier ordered.

The captive hesitated, her eyes darting around the room.

"I said, kneel!" the soldier barked, pushing the woman to her knees.

The captive cried out, and the king's lip curled in disgust.

"Take her away!" he said. "She is not worthy of my attention."

"Please, my king," the woman pleaded. "Have mercy on me."

"Mercy?" the king said, his tone dripping with disdain. "There is no mercy for those who defy me."

"I'll do anything you want, my king," the woman begged. "Just give me a chance."

"There is nothing you can do to change my mind," the king said. "Get your ass out of here!"

"Please, my king," the woman pleaded again, desperation etched on her face. "Have mercy..." Her voice trailed off as the soldiers dragged her away.

King Malgarius sat back in his throne with a grim expression.

"Find me someone who pleases me!" he ordered. "Or there will be consequences."

"Yes, my king," the soldier said, bowing and backing out of the room.

As the door closed behind him, the king let out a deep sigh.

King Malgarius was the most powerful man in the kingdom, and his ambition knew no bounds. He was determined to rule the world, and he would stop at nothing to achieve his goal.

He was running out of time. He had to find a woman who could satisfy his desires, or his plan would fail.

He had been looking for this perfect woman for years, and his frustration was growing with each passing day. He had been watching a certain woman since she was a child, captivated by her unique essence and the potential she held. But they lived in different worlds, separated by an invisible barrier that he couldn't breach. He could only stand beyond her world, an unseen observer, longing to claim her for his dark purposes.

From the shadows, he watched her every step, her transformation from a carefree girl to an elegant lady. His desire to possess her got greater with each passing year, and his infatuation became more intense. He knew she was the one who could fulfill his twisted intentions, but the gap between them was immeasurable.

This unattainable desire tugged at him, driving his frustration and impatience as he continued his never-ending hunt for a means to bridge the gap and bring her into his grasp.

The problem was, he had lost her a few days ago. In his desperation, he had even dared to visit her mansion under the cover of night, hoping to finally claim her. But when he arrived, she was nowhere to be found. Her room was empty, her belongings scattered as if she had left in a hurry. He scoured every corner of the mansion, his frustration mounting with each empty room and deserted hallway.

Where is she? The question rang in his mind like a relentless refrain. His beautiful woman had vanished, slipping through his fingers just as he was about to achieve his goal. His plans were now in risk, and the need to find her intensified with each passing moment.

He had sent his men far and wide to find her, and his spies were scouring every inch of the kingdom, but so far, no sign of her. It was as if she had disappeared into thin air, and the mystery of her disappearance only added to his frustration.

The king let out another sigh, his thoughts clouded by worry and agitation. He was a man used to getting his way, and her disappearance had thrown a wrench into his carefully laid plans.

He would find her. He had to.

Or he would lose everything.
