"So, as you can see, this is the main hall. The Academy has three main parts: the main building where the halls and the training grounds are for; the instructors facilities, which include their office; and more specific parts of the academy, which are for teacher-student interaction; and lastly, the dorms building."
"Thank you. I think I've heard that everyone usually stays at the dorms, and they can move around in the main building while their movements in the instructors' part are slightly restricted."
"Yes!" The girl, who Avian knew now as young lady Misa, nodded enthusiastically to him. They had been walking around the main building for an hour, and she carefully taught him everything she could about the academy.
Avian had not revealed her identity, and yet this girl was unable to tell. From that alone and her short introduction, Avian deduced that she should be one of the commoners who got into the academy with a scholarship.
The royal academy was not strictly for nobles, but it had been accepting a lot of commoners over the course of the last few years. To ensure fairness and choosing the best only, no one could enroll with their wealth alone.
Each student needed to show their own ability, a talent that showcased their worth and qualification to be at the Agarish royal academy.
Despite that sounding ridiculous for most, Avian approved greatly.
'This way the kingdom can grow significantly.'
From everything Avian had been observing, she found it unbelievable that anybody was dense enough to not notice how great the royal family had been cultivating the kingdom's future.
And yet, they had even planned a coup.
"People are truly idiotic, aren't they?"
"Excuse me?"
"Don't worry about it." With an enchanting smile, Avian changed the topic. "I must thank you for all the guidance. I was confused and a bit anxious when I arrived here."
"Oh, oh! Yes, you don't even need to mention that, haha."
Misa laughed and hugged her books closer to her chest; the wind made her slightly curly, green hair flutter as she pushed two strands behind her ear.
"The weather today is nice; spring is the best."
Avian looked around before agreeing. The spring was the best season of the four seasons they have, winter aside, of course.
"Anyway, I apologize again for taking a lot of your precious time. Would you kindly guide me to the principal's office?"
"Ah, so I was right after all. You are a new student?"
"Yes, I will start officially tomorrow. For now I was told to look around the academy and get myself familiar with it."
Carlos had told her she could chill for the day and just settle down at the dorms. Of course, as much as she loved that, she knew the idle time she could afford was scarce.
Given how she had her own plans to deal with Zenith too, slacking around was not an option.
After a little bit of more chatting, Avian reached the principal's office. She bid Misa a farewell before knocking on the door and having a small talk with the principal.
'Room 790, no roommates, nice space for one person. The help from the Crown Prince shouldn't be underestimated.'
Without the help of the Crown Prince, Avian would have been thrown with a teammate for sure. Although the quality of the room should not be that different given the academy being supported by the royal family.
Upon reaching the room, Avian nodded to herself again. This was a good place. A comfortable king-sized bed, two drawers, and a few more luxurious pieces of furniture were located neatly around the room.
The theme of the room appeared to be 'Silver Moonlight' as the color scheme was a beautiful mixture of blue, purple, and silver accompanying them.
A smile formed on Avian's lips as she found the room to be to her liking. She took off her suit and laid down at the bed, burying her face in the pillow.
"I wonder what I should be doing now. There are many ways I can go through this, but I'm not sure if anything should start today."
She mumbled to the pillow, feeling a little bothered about this. Her current feelings were evidence of her biggest fear; she was no longer secure.
Her whole life was no longer in her hands; her status meant nothing. Because it did not exist from the start. Moreover, she had no grasp over her fate or her resources.
The only one she could rely on was the Crown Prince. And for an unknown reason, Avian did not feel comfortable being the receiver of his grace.
'I am all alone; why am I so scared to be the receiver?'
Avian was all alone in this academy.
'I just need to work hard. The first point is going to be the hardest; I need to get to know these people here.'
The people at the royal academy were not that foreign to her. They were just the young nobles who did not interact that much in the silly parties of the minority, due to them attempting to save their reputation and such.
Avian did not know these people enough. Although she was in the academy before, it was not this one. The academy she enrolled in was nothing but a silly one where the nobles' children flaunted their wealth on each other without a care in the world.
But in a place like the Royal Academy, Avian found it hard to believe such people would dare to act that way.
'The people at the royal academy should know about me to some point. And if the rumors spread fast enough, all the nobles should be aware of me being a fake heiress of the Maximilian family.'
The important question, however, was whether they knew her true gender or not. The Crown Prince had not ordered anything regarding her gender. If she wanted to be a male, she could; if she wanted to be female, she could reveal it.
That was what he told her.
'I guess Carlos will make sure it's not revealed unless I say so.'
"Mhm."
After all of this thinking about her plans and the possibilities, Avian could only hate the tight feeling in her chest even more.
"I wish I could breathe easier."
Alas, for a long while, Avian was going to be too busy to breathe, let alone easier.
