She lay there gazing at the moon, her brows drawn together, trying to push the grass with her feet as the soft breeze caressed her skin and her arms outstretched. I am scared, but why? She moved her sight to the maidens and guards who were busily decorating the other side of the garden for her engagement.She abruptly sat up, supporting herself with her other hand while her chin rested on her knuckle.Feeling bored, she sprang up from the grass as she hastened her steps towards the woods.When she arrived at the woods' entrance, she ran towards her favorite location, the great rock, which she named because she believed that sitting on it in the middle of the forest could restore her sense of wholeness whenever she felt broken inside. She helped herself up to the rock, stood and whirled around until she became a little dizzy.She sat on rock while giggling with both legs hanging freely.,She felt her eyes close as she drowned herself in the peace and quiet of the forest.She thought she could stay in this posture indefinitely, but then she heard an ear-piercing noise, which made her turn her head in the direction of the source.It got louder by the minute.Although it was nearly impossible, she squinted her eyes in an attempt to see more clearly.She began walking in the direction of the sound, but the forest grew progressively darker as she continued.It resembled different tones of black.She turned to leave but was halted by the seen that welcomed her . Something was glowing right in front of her .Every time she reached out to touch it, what appeared to be a ball of light would spin in circles.She eventually managed to touch it, but it instantly engulfed her and glowed at her touch.The ball exploded into tiny lights as it all disappeared together with Vera.
She attempted to stand but fell, covering her eyes with the back of her hand to shield them from the intense light. She blinked repeatedly and felt as though all of her strength had been taken away.Snow? Vera could perceive smoke which filled the air in an instant.Where could it be from? Ever vigilant, she began to survey the surroundings.She hesitated for a moment, but then she made the decision to turn because she had to find the fire and put it out before it spread.Impossible,she uttered beneath her breathe.She was dumbfounded by what she saw in front of her; a bush was burning, but it was peculiar because it was spewing strange smoke and had purple flames. Wait, the bush is not burning?Her eyes widened but before she could say anything,smoke shot out of the flame , coiling around her. She was so stunned and appeared to be glued to the ground that she was unable to notice this in time.Another set of smoke lingered around,like lost souls till they could be seen hovering around her till it slide down her tighs down to her feet ,went around till it made a find knot.She realized she was awake when the bush began to burn brighter than before. At that moment, smoke began to return to the flame, giving her shivers down her spine.The smoke appeared to be stuck and abruptly stopped moving.Vera looked at it with a Does this even make sense expression.She followed the trail of smoke as she gasp when she realized it was actual around her feet, before she could do anything,A strong force pulled her forward,the impact was so strong it swept her off her feet,which caused her to hit her head on a broken branch.She pulled at her hair in agony, feeling a little lightheaded as everything seemed to fly before her. Because the leaves had covered the sky, she was unaware that there was even a sky at all.How could light exist if there was no sky? She asked as she sat herself up .As she remembered what happened minutes ago,she snap her head towards the tree to only find the smoke hovering around her feet thickening, she tried to get it off but her fingers always went through it,.She let go and dug her fingers into the ground, but the force was much stronger than before as it dragged her like it had been enraged. The smoke began drawing her towards the flame, so she grabbed onto the branch but ended up pulling it along.Vera dragged along anything her fingers t could touch but that could not help in anyway,not even when she held onto the think long grass,Arrrrhhhh! She screamed in pain because the sharp rock were cutting through her skin as she was being dragged along,It ended with a loud thud as silence took over making it look like nothing has happened and the burning bush had returned to normal with not even a leaf burnt.To what location is she being hauled?
