By eight o'clock, Maggie already arrived at St. Edmund's Basilica. At her preparation room, a veritable army of attendants had already been waiting for her, ready to transform the future Marchioness of Canterbury into a paragon of elegance.

First came the undergarments. Layers of fine linen, meticulously stitched with tiny lace, were carefully fitted to ensure a smooth, flawless silhouette beneath her gown. A corset, expertly boned and lined with soft silk, was gently laced to accentuate Maggie's waist. The process was slow and painstaking, requiring Maggie to stand perfectly still for a significant amount of time.

Next came the hairstylists and the make-up artists, who worked on her hair and face at the same time to save up on time.
