Maggie's first thought upon hearing the news was to give chase. It was quickly extinguished by the realization that she was in no capacity of chasing after a group of robbers.
They were supposedly more dangerous than a pack of Bullmastiffs, and more likely than not armed with weapons.
"Oh, Richard," she whispered. "I believe we have to seek help from the Marquess of Canterbury."
There was no one else to seek help from, right?

Maggie's jaw fell slack when she came to realize something of great magnitude.
"We are in Port Haven," she said, more to herself than to Richard.
"Yes, Your Grace," Richard swallowed hard. "We are indeed in Port Haven."
Port Haven was a village within the Earldom of Huntington's borders.
"Get into the carriage," she ordered Richard. "We are going to Huntington Hall."
