Dr. Bob was laying on a dark grey wooden bed, underneath a wall. He was thinking, thinking about his new self, his forgotten past and all he wanted to know about it. Suddenly, Tamara knocked on the already opened white wooden door, her right hand holding the golden handle. Dr. Bob didn't even stare at her and remained silent while Tamara slowly went closer to the bed, before laying down beside her father and hugging him.
"What do you want now?" Dr. Bob asked blankly before sighing. Tamara didn't answer and tightened her embrace.
"Sorry…" Tamara apologised with sorrow in her voice.
"Sorry? Sorry for what?" Dr. Bob questioned, confused, while Tamara snuggled her face on his back.
"For escaping…" Tamara answered with a soft smile as Dr. Bob remained silent for a while.
"Why did you come back?" he then asked while clenching his fits.
"Because it was too wild for all of us out there…" Tamara answered as Dr. Bob shook his head.
"Idiots, you were free from me and… (He then coughed.) You were free from me," he snapped.
"Dad… We know that there is still some good in you… You just need to find it!" Tamara replied positively as she then put black plastic scientist glasses on Dr. Bob's forehead.
"The others and I made this for you right before we came back…" Tamara explained with a wide smile on her lips. Dr. Bob's eyes opened wide and finally stared at Tamara before pulling her in a really tight hug; she was happy.
"You are too kind…" Dr. Bob said while chuckling and stroking Tamara's hair.
"Listen… what would you wish to become when you turn into an adult?" Dr. Bob asked, now showing more emotions.
"Mmmmh… well I wish to become a psychologist," Tamara answered with the look of someone that is deeply into their thoughts.
"A psychologist, huh? Well, you always have been someone really understanding, even towards me…" Dr. Bob replied while smiling warmly. He then got up from the bed and yawned right after stretching.
"Listen… May I share a secret with you?" Dr. Bob asked while crossing his arms and staring at Tamara which fluttered her eyes in surprise as she hadn't thought about her father becoming suddenly so kind as to share secrets with her.
"S-sure…" she answered while staring at her father, a hint of curiosity merged with fear. Dr. Bob then walked towards his wardrobe and opened it, revealing Rose's nude body hidden inside. Tamara's eyes widened and she started to tremble while stepping back two times.
"Hey, there's no reason to be afraid… (He then grabbed Tamara's hand slowly.) It's not like it seems…" Dr. Bob reassured her with a sincere voice. Tamara decided to trust him and simply kept staring at her mother who had died since long ago in awe.
"Why is she here?" she asked, now staring at her father, who stared back.
"Because it's been a while since I tried to bring her back to life," Dr. Bob answered. Tamara remained silent as she looked away from both her parents.
"And how is it going…?" she then questioned. Dr. Bob smiled at her and looked at Rose.
"It should be done tomorrow, in the morning," Dr. Bob replied as he then closed the wardrobe. Tamara's eyes then watered with tears, which started to stream down her soft skin.
"Mom…" Tamara said while sobbing, and Dr. Bob felt concerned as he hugged her head.
"Come on, don't cry… I have an idea! If you stop crying, I'll free Shadow and Hana out of their syringes," Dr. Bob said while wiping away a tear from Tamara's cheek, who nodded. He then walked towards a brown wooden mobile and opened the first drawer where Shadow and Hana's syringes were. He then broke them, releasing them free from those containers. Shadow simply stared at Hana and hugged her tightly.
"Are you ok, Hana?" Shadow asked, worried for her sister who smiled at him and nodded.
"Yes… don't worry…" Hana answered as she hugged her brother back. Dr. Bob picked Tamara up and laid her on his bed before staring at the two shadows.
"Take care of her tonight, I will keep working on Rose," he said while taking out of another mobile a syringe containing a yellow liquid.
Meanwhile, Rayan and Vincent were fighting in the huge garden of the laboratory.
"Nine Souls: Fifth, Meteor Wisp!" Vincent shouted as he shaped a meteor through controlling his will-o'-the-wisps, which fell from the sky on Rayan's head, whose fingers could be seen adorning blue hot fire, slowly burning his hands; but before the meteor hit Rayan, he turned his fire off and, once it did, smoke covered the entire garden due to the strength of the impact. When the smoke faded away, Rayan was holding that meteor with his arms, his muscles strengthened by his blood manipulation powers.
"Not bad," Rayan said as he threw away the meteor which simply faded away. Vincent smirked and threw himself at Rayan to uppercut him who, unable to dodge, fell on the floor, laying down while looking at the starry sky.
"I beat you, so can we play chess now?" Vincent asked excitedly. Rayan sighed and nodded at him.
The next day, Tamara was sleeping peacefully while Shadow and Hana were beside her. She opened her eyes at eight a.m. just to see her mother, Rose, standing next to the bed on her knees while holding her daughter's hand. Tamara stared at her for a few seconds before starting to cry and sob right after getting up and jumping in her arms. She then looked again at her face, only to notice something awkward in her appearance: her body was pale, her eyes blank, although they showed a sign of life, and she could see the place where her heart once was.
"Sorry Tamara; that's the best I could do…" Dr. Bob apologised while holding a black bra that he placed on Rose's breasts.
"Thanks, dear…" Rose thanked with a lovely expression on her face when staring at Dr. Bob, who hugged her back in the next second.
"Rose…" Dr. Bob said with tears in his eyes while hugging Rose's head as tight as he could, almost as if she was dying once again. Rose grabbed his left hand and rested her head on his chest. Shadow and Hana went into another room, leaving the couple and their daughter alone.
The next day, Dr. Bob was dressing up Rose with a long black cotton one-leg dress that only covered her right leg, short sleeves, laces behind her neck that formed a cross shape, long black thick wool socks, high black gam heels, black long wool fingerless gloves, huge circle-shaped gold earrings, four golden necklaces and a cute tiny black rose as a hair clip, placed on the left side of her hair; he also used a blood red lipstick on her lips and painted her nails with the same colour. Rose was blushing slightly while he was doing this, a wide smile spread across her face at her husband's care.
"T–Thank you, honey…" Rose said with lovely eyes as she stared at Dr. Bob, who simply kissed her cheek and smiled back at her.
"Where are we going?" she then asked with a curious look on her face.
"To the house of one of my 'friends' to have a business dinner," Dr. Bob answered while feeling slightly guilty because of something in his mind. Rose kissed his cheek softly.
"What is wrong?" She asked, worried for her husband who grabbed her hand softly.
"Well… please don't get mad at me but… Tamara will have an arranged marriage with my friend's son, and they paid us millions…" Dr. Bob answered with a slight concern. Rose remained silent for a while before pouting. Dr. Bob grabbed her cheek and tried to not make her mad, succeeding.
"Can we find a way to stop this arranged marriage?" Rose questioned with an hopeful look. Dr. Bob nodded and petted her.
"I will make sure they won't see the light for the next couple of days that'll precede the marriage," he reassured her, before giving her one last kiss and grabbing her hand. They then went with Tamara to Dr. Bob's friend's house, at Shibuya.
It was a huge white villa, so huge it, from outside, looked like it contained eight hundred rooms; the entrance was a huge green iron gate, an intercom shaped as a golden dragon statue whose button was hidden in the opened mouth of the creature, which Dr. Bob pressed as the gate suddenly opened, revealing a little rock path that led to the front brown pine wood door.
Dr. Bob then knocked on that door, which automatically opened all of a sudden, and yet no one could be seen behind it; Rose and Tamara were impressed while Dr. Bob just remained silent, as if he had expected that feature. Tamara, for the occasion, was wearing a cute long black dress, black short-heels, black fingerless gloves, a ruby necklace; moreover, she had put red lipstick and painted her nails black. They entered the house, a huge corridor welcoming them, which had white walls and a brown wood floor; there was a huge uncomfortable feeling in the air.
"M–Mum… can I grab your hand?" Tamara asked as she was feeling delocalised and worried. Rose led her hand to her daughter as she grabbed it tightly.
"Don't worry sweetheart…" Rose answered with a warm smile. The three of them walked in the corridor that seemed infinite.
How awkward… Dr. Bob thought as he couldn't see the end of the corridor. He tried contacting Christopher through his mind, unsuccessfully.
"Dad, I am getting scared…" Tamara said as she couldn't see the beginning of the room anymore. Dr. Bob stared at his back and saw nothing except the corridor.
It might be a sort of loop… but how? Dr. Bob thought as he was starting to get worried too. Then, he stared at Tamara, who was sweating and breathing heavily.
Wait… don't tell me she is… claustrophobic… Dr. Bob pondered with widened eyes as Tamara fell on her knees while holding her hair.
"W-what's happening to me… (Tamara was struggling to breathe.) Dad, help me!" she screamed in panic as she was seeing everything blurry and had teary eyes. Rose was trying all she could to calm her down but it was useless. Suddenly, Tamara passed out with tears in her eyes. Dr. Bob tried punching the wall, but it was no use.
Uh? Good resistance, but let's see if you can survive this… Dr. Bob then punched the wall so hard that it damaged the skin of his hand; the wall broke, leaving a void instead. Suddenly, a newspaper came out from the ceiling; it smelled good and didn't look old. Dr. Bob read it immediately and remained shocked by its content as, on the front page, was written:
"Patrick Fanz was sentenced to death after abusing his wife to death and sending his son to the hospital! If the police didn't enter when he was beating his son up, he would be dead too!"
Dr. Bob remained silent, having no idea of what to say or to do as he was trapped in that corridor.
Bullshit… he thought as he threw the newspaper away, which landed on the floor. Suddenly, the whole corridor vanished, as did the house. Christopher then appeared in front of Dr. Bob.
"You really aren't good, uh?" Christopher asked as Dr. Bob tilted his head.
"What do you mean?" Dr. Bob asked.
"I found out Patrick had the power to make loops and wanted to use it to trap you, so I made sure he died in order to free you; thank me later, now let's go away," Christopher answered as he grabbed Tamara's hair to drag her, but Dr. Bob slapped his hand, angered by this gesture from his brother. Christopher stared at him for two seconds before smirking and picking up Tamara kindly, with his arms under her legs and nape. They went home and, when they did, Rayan and Vincent were gone.
Shit… Dr. Bob thought as Christopher disappeared after giving Tamara to her mother, who went to sleep with her daughter.
