Chapter 25 - Mission Completed

The Bandit Captain lay on the ground, heavily injured with broken bones. Bai Yu regarded him coldly. He unsheathed his sword and severed the Bandit Captain's throat. After the kill, Bai Yu surveyed the battlefield before him. Liu Ning, Chu Yao, and Chu Ming were all engaged in combat.

He first observed Liu Ning, who dispatched a Body Refining Bandit with each swing of her sword. Chu Yao then sheathed her weapon as the Bandit Vice Captain crumpled to the ground, his body riddled with sword wounds. Finally, his gaze fell upon Chu Ming, who, having overwhelmed an enemy, was too frightened to deliver the final blow.

The bandit seized his chance, thrusting his sword toward Chu Ming. Just before the blade connected, a hand appeared, gripping the weapon firmly. The bandit stared in disbelief as Bai Yu held his sword, not a single muscle straining. Before he could even blink, a warm liquid streamed down his neck. He looked down, his eyes widening at the sight of his severed throat. With a gasp, he crumpled to the ground, dead.

"Th-thank you," stammered Chu Ming, on the verge of tears. Ignoring her, Bai Yu approached the slain Bandit Captain. "I will need his head as proof of mission completion," he muttered.Chu Yao approached, her voice laced with concern. "Don't be so harsh on Chu Ming. She's only fifteen and has never taken a life before.""The strong rule the weak," Bai Yu responded coldly. "If she isn't prepared to kill, she will be killed. In the future, don't let her participate in such dangerous missions if she's too afraid to finish the job.""I understand. Thank you for your guidance, Senior Brother," Chu Yao replied, bowing respectfully.

"Wow, Senior Brother Bai Yu is so cool!" exclaimed Liu Ning, her voice filled with admiration upon hearing Bai Yu's words.Chu Yao, a blush creeping onto her cheeks, admitted, "Yes, he is. I owe him a debt of gratitude for saving my little sister."

"Alright lets go back" cried out Liu Ning joyfully with raised fists.
