As Aayam navigated life in the author's world, he quickly embraced this new reality. Immersed in a realm teeming with demons and supernatural entities, he discovered a profound sense of contentment, far removed from the mundane existence he once knew.
Gone were the days of relentless work routines, suffocating traffic, and office politics. Instead, Aayam embraced a life of exploration, delving into the mysteries of this fantastical realm, uncovering its diverse inhabitants, and immersing himself in their intriguing customs.
Initially wary of the demons he encountered, Aayam soon realized they were nothing like the monstrous beings of legend. Many welcomed him warmly, eager to share their wisdom and stories.
Through his interactions, Aayam gained insight into the demons' intricate minds, recognizing their complexities and the nuances of their desires and values. He learned that they were not inherently evil but multifaceted beings with aspirations and beliefs.
In this newfound world, Aayam finally felt a sense of belonging. Liberated from judgment and able to pursue his interests freely, he forged deep connections with this realm's demons and other residents, fostering friendships and a profound feeling of homecoming.
As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Aayam's love for this world blossomed. He could never return to his old life, nor did he desire to. Amidst lurking dangers, Aayam found profound happiness and fulfillment.
Approaching his first anniversary in the author world, Aayam knew he had discovered his true home, where he could embrace his dreams.
Today, Aayam strolled through the village, fetching items for Miss Emma. His tasks included gathering fresh herbs for dinner and delivering messages to Mr. Balder's sister. His final stop was the village smithy.
"Welcome!" greeted a woman as Aayam entered.
"Hello, Aayam. Are you here for Balder and Emma's orders?" she inquired.
Aayam nodded.
"Excellent, let me fetch them from the back. My assistant should have completed the work," she said before disappearing into the workshop.
Waiting patiently, Aayam reviewed his list to ensure he had procured all the ingredients required by Miss Elira for tonight's dinner. Upon finishing his check, the woman returned with the items.
"Here you go, Aayam. The knives are sharpened, and the swords have been maintained," she announced.
"Thank you. How much do I owe you?" Aayam inquired.
"The sharpening and maintenance will be three silver coins," the woman replied.
Handing over the money, Aayam said, "Here you go."
"Thank you. Is there anything else you need?" she asked.
"No, thank you," Aayam replied.
As Aayam opened the door to leave, the woman said, "Oh, by the way, Aayam."
Turning back, Aayam faced the shopkeeper.
"A little while ago, my friend who owns the bookshop received a new shipment of books. If you go now and mention my name, she'll give you a first look at their stock," she informed him.
Excited to gain knowledge from the new books, Aayam thanked the shopkeeper and made his way to the bookstore.
************
Leaving the blacksmith's workshop, I headed to the nearby bookstore. The quaint shop had a single room for customers. The bell chimed as I entered, alerting the shopkeeper.
"Good evening, my dear... Oh, Aayam, it's you," the shopkeeper greeted me.
"Hello. I heard about the new shipment of books from Miss Leva," I responded.
"Ah, so you've heard. I've already put them on the shelf. Have a look," the shopkeeper said, indicating the new arrivals.
While surveying the shelf, I found various genres, but nothing captured my interest. Disappointed, I approached the shopkeeper, who directed me to a book on her desk.
"What about that book?" I inquired.
"That's the latest in the Red Rose series," she revealed.
Familiar with the Red Rose series due to Lilith's recommendation, Aayam was surprised to discover such a genre in this world.
"Is that book on sale?" Aayam inquired.
The shopkeeper appeared taken aback by Aayam's interest in the book. Sensing this, Aayam hastened to clarify.
"No, it's for Lilith!" Aayam explained.
The shopkeeper replied, "Yes, of course," though his tone hinted at skepticism.
"That will be six silver coins," the shopkeeper stated.
Aayam paid for the book, feeling embarrassed, and left the store.
************
Aayam pushed the door to Elira's house and entered. Clanging pots and pans echoed from the kitchen as Miss Emma called out, inquiring about the groceries.
A nod from Aayam elicited a sigh of relief from Miss Emma. "Good, Good," she muttered before urging him to join her in the kitchen. "We need to cook before the others return," she stated urgently.
Understanding the importance of the task, Aayam followed Miss Emma into the kitchen, ready to assist in preparing the meal. He knew the others would be tired after a long day's work and needed to be well-fed.
After 30 minutes, dinner was ready just as Mr. Elira and Lilith arrived home.
Seated around the table, the group conversed about their day, enjoying the meal and the warmth it brought. Balder discussed mentoring new guild members, Lilith shared a humorous commute anecdote, Aayam talked about his store duties, and Emma mentioned her latest knitting project for them. They delved into their hobbies and interests.
As the meal drew to a close, they lingered at the table, relishing the last bites of food and continuing their lively discussion. It was more than a meal; it was a chance to reconnect.
Aayam's eyes lit up as he remembered something. "Oh, that reminds me," he began, "today on my way back, I heard the bookstore received a new batch of books."
Lilith's face lit up with excitement. "Really? I've been waiting for weeks for them to restock! We have to go check them out!" she exclaimed eagerly.
Aayam grinned and pulled out a book from his shirt. "I visited earlier and found a new addition to the Red Rose series," he said, showing it to Lilith.
"Eek!" Lilith squealed with joy, then without warning, she leaped onto Aayam, pushing him to the ground.
"The new edition of Red Rose!" Her voice brimmed with delight. "Thank you so much, Aayam!" She hugged him tightly, making it hard for him to breathe.
Amused, Balder remarked to Emma, "Look how close they've become."
"You might be right. I think it's wonderful that we'll have our first grandchild very soon," Emma teased.
Balder and Emma teased the pair, watching the scene unfold. Lilith quickly released Aayam, apologized, and returned to her seat with the book.
Aayam regained his composure and sat down. Lilith cast a healing spell on him as a precaution.
"I'm sorry about that, Aayam," Lilith apologized.
"It's okay, Lilith. Thankfully, nothing serious happened," Aayam reassured her.
Blushing from embarrassment, Lilith smiled, revealing a different side of herself to Aayam.
Emma and Balder observed Lilith and Aayam's growing closeness with affectionate gazes. They noticed the undeniable chemistry between them, yet Lilith and Aayam remained unaware of their deepening feelings for each other.
As protective parents, Emma and Balder hoped for someone who would love and cherish Lilith as they did. While they delighted in seeing her bond with Aayam, they also felt a sense of concern, knowing love's complexities and potential pain.
Despite their worries, Emma and Balder felt optimistic about Lilith and Aayam's future together. The unique connection and mutual understanding they shared filled them with hope for what was to come.
While watching the pair, Emma mentioned the upcoming spring festival. Lilith's eyes brightened with recognition, though she was puzzled by her mother's remark.
"Mother, why bring up the spring festival?" Lilith inquired.
Emma smiled warmly. "I was wondering if you planned to go and perhaps invite Aayam," she suggested.
Lilith blushed as she realized her mother's implication. Intrigued by Aayam's quiet strength and kind heart, she had never considered the possibility that her feelings might be returned.
Mentioning the festival sparked a flurry of thoughts in Lilith's mind. She pictured herself and Aayam strolling through vibrant, bustling streets, sampling treats, and enjoying lively performances. It was thrilling yet daunting. What if Aayam didn't feel the same? What if this question changed their friendship forever?
Despite her nerves, Lilith felt a flutter of excitement. Finding someone who loved and supported her had always been a dream, and Aayam seemed like the perfect match. With a nod to her smiling mother, Lilith spoke up.
"I think it's a wonderful idea, Mother," Lilith said. "I'd be honored to go to the spring festival with Aayam." She turned to Aayam, her ears turning red. "Aayam, would you like to go to the spring festival with me?"
The moment was embarrassing for both of them. Lilith had essentially asked Aayam out on a date.
"Sure, I'd love to go with you," Aayam replied. "But shouldn't it be me asking you out?"
************
The next day dawned bright and clear, the sun casting a warm glow over the village. Lilith and Aayam eagerly prepared for their day at the spring festival, bustling around the house, getting dressed, and packing their bags. Excitement bubbled up inside Lilith. She had anticipated this day for weeks and was determined to make the most of it.
Aayam, more reserved but still eager, watched as Lilith flitted around, grabbing snacks and sunscreen. He smiled at her enthusiasm. "Are you ready to go, Aayam?" Lilith asked, grinning.
Aayam nodded, anticipation building inside him. "I'm ready," he replied, his voice steady.
They headed out into the bright sunshine, ready for their adventures. Stepping onto the festival grounds, they were hit with a rush of energy. Laughter and music filled the air, tempting them with the smell of delicious food.
Lilith's eyes sparkled as she took in the lively scene. People of all ages were laughing, playing games, and indulging in treats. She grabbed Aayam's hand, pulling him along, eager to join in the fun.
They began by browsing the food stalls, stomachs growling with hunger. The aroma of sizzling sausages and sweet pastries filled the air, making it hard to choose. They settled on hot fries and fluffy cotton candy, sharing as they strolled.
Trying games next, Lilith excelled at ring toss, winning a stuffed animal she proudly clutched. Aayam surprised himself at dart throwing, earning a colorful prize he pocketed with a grin.
They stumbled upon a stage where dancers performed. Lilith and Aayam joined in, swaying to the beat of the crowd.
Filled with laughter and unforgettable memories, they headed home as the festival wound down, hearts full and spirits soaring.
"Today was fun, wasn't it?" Lilith asked Aayam.
"It was indeed."
They shared their favorite moments, Lilith loving the dance performance while Aayam enjoyed the new foods.
Lilith chuckled at Aayam's food enthusiasm. "You enjoy tasting all the food, don't you?"
"Of course, there are so many new flavors here compared to my homeland."
"Are there more recipes here than where you're from?"
"No, the flavors are unique, like nothing I've tasted before."
"I see," Lilith halted abruptly.
Aayam stopped, too, sensing her unease. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"Could you follow me somewhere?" Lilith's voice trembled.
"Sure, I'm with you," Aayam affirmed.
Outside the village, Lilith led Aayam up a large hill.
As they ascended, festival sounds faded, replaced by rustling trees and the distant town hum. Lilith's heart raced. She had wanted to share her feelings with Aayam, but the words always eluded her. Was this the right moment?
At the hilltop, Lilith faced Aayam. "Aayam, there's something I need to tell you," she whispered.
Aayam, sensing her anxiety, reassured her. "You can tell me anything, Lilith," he said, his warm eyes brimming with understanding.
Taking a deep breath, Lilith gathered her courage and poured out her feelings. "Aayam, I don't know how to say this, but... I like you. Since you came into our lives and saved me from that Crimson Bair, I began to notice you."
Silence hung between them as Aayam processed her confession. He had always seen her as a dear friend, but now he questioned if there was something more. Memories of a childhood promise and a first love flooded his mind. Yet, gazing into Lilith's eyes, he felt a deep connection, and his heart swelled with emotion. The joy she brought into his life was irreplaceable.
"Lilith... I had no idea," he responded, his voice filled with warmth. "You're incredibly important to me. I care about you deeply and can't imagine my life without you."
Joy and relief painted Lilith's face as she embraced Aayam tightly. In that moment, as they held each other, the world around them faded, leaving only the two in a perfect bubble of happiness.
************
In the kingdom of Florian, Aayam's former classmates gathered in the king's audience chamber after intense training. The king summoned them to discuss crucial matters.
"Greetings, heroes. I've summoned you to discuss our battle plans against the demons. When spring arrives, an expedition will be sent to the outside world. Six of you will join this mission while the others continue their training."
The plan was to dispatch the top 6 students to the kingdom of Union. There, they would meet the Thor army of sixty thousand soldiers, advance into demon territory, and establish a base on Thor's land. Their mission also involved engaging with the inhabitants of that world.
************
As spring arrived, signaling the call to arms, all the students gathered before the castle gates to bid farewell to their chosen comrades. The king had selected six heroes for the upcoming expedition, and a banquet had been held in their honor the night before their departure.
"Stay safe out there."
"Save some demons for us to defeat when we join you."
"Don't worry, we'll leave enough for everyone to have a great time." The students held a light-hearted belief that their world was akin to a fantastical adventure where they would battle evil monsters, save the realm, and live luxuriously ever after.
"Do you have everything you need?"
"Yes, I'm all set."
"Are you sure?" Three girls conversed among themselves. One was preparing for the expedition, while her two friends ensured she had all she required.
"Himari, I'm fine, don't worry."
"I'm just concerned for your safety, Hina. We know nothing of the world out there."
"She's right, Hina. It could be dangerous."
"Come on, Himari, Yua. I won't be alone out there. Besides, the king is sending soldiers to accompany us. I'll be safe."
A group of six male and female students surrounds their friends Sara and Haruto. Sara, a shy girl with the gift of controlling animals, is seen as the little sister of the class.
"Sara, stay close to Haruto and the others," one student said.
"Don't talk to strangers," another warned.
"If anything happens, run away fast," a third advised.
Haruto assured, "I'll keep her safe."
Nearby, three boys bid farewell to their friend.
"Haru, it's time to go," Ajax called.
"Done saying goodbyes, including to your girlfriend?" Haru teased.
The sixth member embarking on the expedition is Ajax, the legendary hero revered by the people. His swordsmanship rivals the best in the country, earning praise even from the nobility.
"I'm not dating anyone," Ajax clarified.
"Not even Kosuke?" Haru asked.
"We're just friends," Ajax replied.
As the knight commander signaled the start of the journey, the classmates bid farewell to their departing friends. Amidst the goodbyes, Kosuke rushed to catch up with the group.
"Ajax!" Kosuke called out, expressing her concern for her childhood friend. Ajax assured her safety, promising to reunite on the battlefield.
Little did they know the expedition would end in tragedy. Five heroes fell into a deep coma, and the sixth hero sustained severe injuries. Only 30 soldiers returned from the initial 60 thousand who set out on the mission.

Outside Carne village, Aayam toiled in the fields, gathering crops as winter approached. With the return from the capital, the town bustled with preparations for the cold season. Balder sought work from the hunter's guild, while Lilith assisted her father in securing the mines. Emma, known for her exquisite arts and crafts, created masterpieces sought after throughout the countryside. Aayam, working for a neighboring farmer, tended the fields diligently.
As winter arrived, the family was well-prepared. Aayam continued his fieldwork, reaping a good income. After delivering his harvest to the boss, he awaited his payment. The boss inspected the crops for quality, ensuring they were ready for sale to the villagers.
Impressed, the boss rewarded Aayam with seven silver coins for his hard work. Grateful, Aayam accepted the payment and returned home to his family, their efforts contributing to the village's prosperity.
"I'm home."
"Welcome back, Aayam."
"Hi, Lilith. Are both your parents here?"
"Yes, they're preparing goat stew with bread in the kitchen."
"Ah, goat stew. I'm looking forward to it." In this world, goat stew tastes familiar despite the unique appearance of the animal, resembling a petite horse with deer-like horns.
Lilith's mother, Emma, entered the living room from the kitchen. "You two look like a merry couple greeting each other after a day's work," Emma teased, causing Lilith and Aayam to blush.
Embarrassed, Lilith exclaimed, "Mom!"
Laughing, Emma retreated to the kitchen, leaving the two flustered at the door. After a moment, they composed themselves and agreed to join the family at the dinner table.
As they gathered for the meal, the family shared stories of their day. Aayam recounted his work in the fields and earnings, while Lilith described hunting a troublesome wild boar with her father. Emma shared her experience painting a portrait for a grateful chapel, bringing joy to the family.
************
"How much did you spend this time?" Balder asked his wife, resigned to the fact that her dealings with merchants often exceeded their budget due to her friendships in the trade.
"Not much, just two small gold coins," Emma smiled.
A loud bang startled them as Balder's face met the dinner table in disbelief. Perplexed by his reaction, Emma noticed Lilith and Aayam looking at her with anticipation and confusion.
As Balder finally shared his day's events, he revealed troubling news from the hunters guild. A job request indicated an invasion of Nessus, with attacks distorting towns and villages. The kingdom had deployed soldiers but sought additional aid through the guild.
Lilith, intrigued by the potential job opportunity, inquired about the details. Balder explained the urgent need for reinforcements against the enemy forces.
Concerned, Emma asked, "Are you considering joining the army, Balder?" Lilith and Aayam shared the same worried expression.
"It seems I have no choice," Balder replied somberly, realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Why!?" Lilith's voice echoed through the room as she slammed her hand on the table, demanding an explanation. Balder remained silent as he unfolded a map of the countryside. "Let me show you why," he began.
Pointing to the eastern region, Balder explained, "The enemy is advancing from the east, where the Avernus kingdom once stood."
Aayam recognized the name but couldn't recall its significance until Lilith connected the dots. "Avernus! Wasn't it rendered uninhabitable by dangerous beasts after the events seven hundred years ago?" Aayam recalled the tragic history of Avernus, destroyed by humans arriving in this world eight hundred years prior.
Balder highlighted red x's on the map, marking the towns and villages under attack. "At this rate," he warned, "they will reach our village in ten days."
Understanding Balder's determination to defend their home and family, Emma agreed to seek shelter closer to the capital. Balder accepted her decision, preparing for the impending battle to protect their loved ones.
However, Lilith opposed the plan, urging her father to reconsider and accompany them. Despite her pleas, Balder remained resolute. The tension lingered, prompting Lilith's parents to suggest she retire to her room, promising to discuss the matter further the next day. Frustrated, Lilith left the kitchen in a storm of emotions.
Balder, Emma, and Aayam sat around the table in the quiet kitchen. Aayam felt he knew who the enemy might be. Before they left, Aayam approached Balder.
"Can I go with you?" Aayam asked.
Shocked, Balder replied, "Why?"
"I think the attackers are human, like me!" Aayam exclaimed.
Balder hesitated. "No, go with Emma and Lilith to safety. I can't risk you fighting against your kind. It's not right."
Balder's decision was made. Aayam had to stay behind.
Emma, Lilith, and Aayam left Corn Village for safety near the capital. Despite Lilith's protests, her friends Lessly and Aayam took her away. The Webers joined them, heading to a town where they had acquaintances.
************
They found refuge in the town of Acorn Cliff, which has a population of 2,263 and an area of 3.85 mi2. They hoped to be safe. Weeks passed without a word from Balder, but news arrived that the front line held the enemy back.
Near Acorn Cliff, Aayam, Lilith, and Lessly are trained in self-defense. Lilith honed her magic skills while Lessly struggled but showed promise. Aayam faced challenges in his training.
"Please, no! Ahh!"
"Stay strong, Aayam."
"Just a little longer."
The trio prepared for whatever may come, ready for the battles ahead.
"Ahh!"
"Boom!"
Silence.
"Is it done?"
"Well done, Aayam. Your time has improved to 60 minutes. You'll escape danger easily now."
Aayam reassured Lilith and Lessly with a wave. (How did I end up training with these two?)
The girls used their spells on Aayam to enhance his skills, pushing him to his limits. Aayam accepted the challenge, determined to grow stronger.
Lessly practiced healing spells on Aayam, restoring him after their intense training. Lilith and Lessly held back, ensuring Aayam's safety.
As they returned to town, the sun was setting.
"What's for dinner tonight?"
"I'm not certain. Mom mentioned pork stew with ginger beans, but she might change the plan," Lilith remarked.
As the war raged on, refugees flooded into the town, seeking safety from the front lines. The once peaceful village is now bustled with activity and newcomers, facing the challenges of rebuilding their lives.
Observing two suspicious men approaching, Lilith, Lessly, and Aayam took action. Standing together, they deterred the men with a show of unity.
The men turned away, acknowledging the trio's strategy. Aayam, surprised by the girls' actions, questioned their behavior.
With a grin, Lessly suggested that Aayam act as their protector until they reached home. Lilith and Lessly held onto Aayam, tightening their grip playfully. Aayam was taken aback by their unexpected antics.

The group rejoiced as they savored the meal, grateful for Emma's resourcefulness in gathering the ingredients. When Michal set down his spoon, signaling he had news, everyone's attention turned to him.
"Today, I received a letter from Balder," Michal announced, capturing everyone's interest. It had been three long months since they last heard from him.
Excited, Lilith blurted out, "What does it say?"
Emma intervened, prompting Lilith to settle down before Michal continued reading the letter aloud.
"To my beloved wife Emma, daughter Lilith, friends, and adopted son Aayam," Michal began. "I hope you are all well. We are successfully holding back the enemy's advance. I am part of a special forest combat unit employing guerrilla tactics. Our skills surpass theirs, and victory seems achievable by year's end."
Relieved to hear of Balder's well-being, the group sighed collectively, reassured by his message.
Michal folded the letter and handed it to Emma, offering her a moment of solace. Emma, who had silently endured the months without news of her husband, received the letter with mixed emotions.
Sensing her mother's need for the letter, Lilith refrained from asking for it, understanding the weight it carried for Emma.
After finishing their meal, the group retired to bed, each carrying their thoughts and hopes for the days ahead.
************
The bustling town resembled a festival, with crowds filling the streets.
"Lilith, Aayam, where are you?" a voice called out.
"Over here!"
The friends set out for the forest, but the crowded streets caused them to lose sight of each other. Lessly found herself separated from Lilith and Aayam, taking a longer route to reunite with them.
As Lilith and Aayam walked together, they encountered merchants selling fresh produce.
"Come here, young miss! Fresh produce for sale," the merchants called out, tempting Lessly with their offerings. Despite the freshness of the products, Lessly hesitated due to the high prices, understanding the economic reasons behind it.
Deciding to purchase some fruits, Lessly exchanged silver coins for the produce. The merchants bagged the fruits as Lessly inquired, "Are they really from the forest?"
Close to a merchant, a customer whispers, "Your brother at the front line? Can we contact you?"
"Received a letter this morning. Army falling back to Sigilla."
"A regular of mine, a soldier, mentioned something. Platoon flanked, essays."
Lessly eavesdrops grabs her bag, and leaves for her friends' place.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, what I heard is true."
Lessly recounts the conversation. Shocked, Lilith and Aayam head to the hunter guild for more information.
The guild, a hub of knowledge, awaits their arrival.
Upon arriving at the guild, they found it deserted. Before heading to the forest, they needed to drop off some items they had seen earlier. Despite the bustling crowd gathered around the job board, the trio paid little attention and went to the information counter.
"Any updates from the war front?" Lilith inquired breathlessly, her friends echoing her concern.
"We have received reports from the front line," the informant replied with a strained smile, conveying the gravity of the situation. The enemy has set fire to the forest, and our forces are under attack by mysterious creatures. It seems the enemy can control them."
The guild had received a plea for help from the country, urging any available hunters to aid in regrouping the soldiers before the enemy overwhelmed them. Aayam and Lessly understood the urgency in Lilith's eyes.
In the dead of night, cloaked in black, a mysterious figure made their way to the town's outskirts. Boarding a carriage bound for the front line, the figure ensured they weren't being followed. Approaching the driver, they declared their intent to join the fight.
"I appreciate your willingness, but you're quite young. Why not wait until you're older?" the commander suggested.
"Please, I beg of you! My father is at the front line, and I must help him," the determined youth implored.
Before the commander could refuse, two familiar figures stepped forward. "What if we accompany her?" they proposed.
Turning to face the voices, the commander and the cloaked figure saw the faces of Aayam and Lessly revealed. "Lessly! Aayam! What brings you here? How did you know of my plan?" questioned Lilith.
"It was clear from your expression at the guild. We understand you," Aayam explained. With their intentions laid bare, the trio sought approval to join the mission. Aayam devised a plan.
"My apologies for the delay. This girl is my friend's daughter, a hunter who bravely fights on the front lines," Aayam interjected, swaying the commander.
"Hmm," the commander pondered, considering the new information. Lilith watched in confusion.
"I'll accompany them to ensure they act responsibly," offered another voice.
"Do you and these young ones have combat experience?" the commander inquired.
"We are skilled in combat. I specialize in magic, and this girl wields a sword proficiently. Can we join?" Aayam confidently presented their abilities to the commander.
"Alright, you three may come, but keep a close watch on these girls. We aim to rescue the wounded and avoid engaging enemy soldiers or drow. Clear?" the commander instructed.
"Understood!" they replied in unison, accepting the terms.
As they journeyed towards Sigilla, nearing the battlefield, Lilith leaned in to speak privately. "Aayam, there's something I need to discuss."
Remembering a conversation, Lilith hinted, "If your family thought I was older, others might too."
Before she could finish, Aayam hushed her, drawing curious glances from fellow volunteers.
Arriving at Sigilla, they joined a diverse group of volunteers, including demons of various forms and ages.
"In my homeland, only those who attend a military academy and reach a certain age can join the army," Aayam shared, prompting confusion from Lessly.
"It's unusual to hear that, Aayam. In our world, every demon possesses combat skills," Lessly remarked, puzzled by Aayam's revelation.
"Are people in your homeland okay with learning to fight?" Lessly asked, seeking clarification.
Confidently, Aayam replied, "I'm not sure about your homeland, but in Nessus and its neighboring regions, combat training is ingrained in us from a young age. We embrace fighting as a form of self-expression without fear."
Perplexed, Aayam pondered, "Does that mean every demon is a battle enthusiast?" Considering the cultural differences, Aayam assumed everyone would adapt.
A booming voice interrupted their conversation, drawing their attention to the walls of Sigilla. A group of individuals, including a minotaur with a cow head, a tall green man with a horn, and a black-haired woman with scarlet eyes, prepared to address the volunteers.
"The commander is about to speak," announced the minotaur, allowing the woman to step forward. Despite her appearance akin to a magazine model, her aura suggested she had weathered many battles.
"Greetings, citizens of Nessus. I am delighted to see so many of you come forward to aid our homeland," she addressed the gathered volunteers.
