Chapter 264 - Chapter 263: Citrus—The End

"Naruto, Naruto!" Naruto slapped Sasuke's hand away, yawning groggily as he straightened up, his eyes still sleepy.

"What is it, seriously? Can't you just let me catch up on some sleep first thing in the morning?"

"Is the sun rising in the west at your house? It's almost time to go home, Loser!"

Sasuke grabbed Naruto's head and forcibly turned his head toward the glow of the setting sun, shaking it a bit as he did.

The orange sunlight, the wide-open schoolyard, the ever-cool acting Sasuke, the playful chatter of classmates, and the half-erased class schedule in the classroom...

The world was still the same world.

Naruto blinked in confusion.

"I... I slept all afternoon?"

"No, it's been the entire day!"

The blonde-haired boy blinked again, subconsciously rubbing the back of his neck.

The skin was smooth, without any sign of cuts or wounds.

The terrifying Nine-Tailed Beast, the horrifying plausible truth of the world, and the image of ending his own life with a student card...

'So, it was just a nightmare, huh? Damn it... even in dreams, there's always some mysterious jerk... But who exactly was the guy he was talking about?'

Naruto silently cursed under his breath, slinging his bag over his shoulder as he prepared to leave the classroom.

"Wait a minute, dead last," Sasuke called after him, a mischievous glint in his pitch-black eyes. "The teacher called on you during biology class just now."

"What? Then why didn't you wake me up?"

"You were sleeping like a log. I even pinched your arm really hard."

"I—I was having a nightmare, you know? Something about the Nine—"

"Tell it to the biology teacher yourself." Sasuke slapped Naruto on the back. "He wants to see you after class in his office."

...

"Sensei, um, I'm really sorry, I—"

"Naruto-kun," the young teacher looked up with a gentle smile. "Even during puberty, you should focus on your studies. You're not bad-looking, but Sakura likes boys who are well-rounded, you know~."

"Sensei, how did you—"

"Your eyes are practically glued to her. Of course I'd notice."

He rubbed the blonde boy's head, speaking softly.

"Go home and rest. You've got dark circles under your eyes."

"Yes, sir!"

"Good! You're full of energy! Oh, and here, I found this on the field."

Naruto took his student card, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I'm always losing things… I've really caused you trouble… Hyuga-sensei."

Yuto Hyuga glanced at the student card in Naruto's hand, confirming once more that the blood and chakra had been completely removed.

"It's no trouble... just part of my duty."

...

After Naruto left, the office fell silent. Yuto picked up his pen and continued grading assignments.

As the sound of the pen gliding across the paper echoed in the room, the sun slowly set, and neon lights began to flicker outside the window. Only then did he finally put the pen down.

"Yuto-kun."

A gentle female voice called out, and a soft, slug-like creature crawled onto his shoulder, speaking softly.

"Every last bit of the Nine-Tails' chakra has been suppressed to the ocean floor."

He didn't reply. He simply petted the slug gently, as he had done for many years.

After a long pause, the man's calm voice finally reached the slug's ears.

"The last unruly seed has been eliminated. It's for the best. I didn't want to have to take action against Minato-senpai's child unless absolutely necessary."

---

Indeed, Kurama's judgment was right. Yuto was just a shinobi.

But unlike the shinobi wearing headbands a decade ago, Yuto Hyuga had grown far too powerful—so powerful that even the Sage of Six Paths had tasted defeat at his hands.

Because of Naruto's connection to Kurama, he had to remain as a teacher at the school, preparing for the moment the Nine-Tails would strike.

Only last night had he removed this final thorn.

Now, the world was exactly as he had envisioned it. Like Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, he had become the founder of a new era.

Of course, as a human, Yuto still had some selfish desires.

For example, before reshaping the world with the ultimate ninjutsu, he used the Rinne Rebirth Technique to bring Minato back to life.

Or perhaps...

"What a long life it's been," Yuto stretched and let the slug slide off.

"Where are you going, Yuto-kun?"

"I'm still human. I need a break."

"And your job as the biology teacher?"

"I'll have a Shadow Clone cover for me."

"How long will you be gone?"

"Probably until the midterms. Ugh, these kids' grades are such a headache... If only they could all be like Shikamaru and ace every subject."

As his voice faded into the distance, the slug remained quietly on the desk. After confirming that he had left, it whispered softly to itself.

"Blonde-lover."

...

Far from Naruto's city was a small town.

The town wasn't large, nor was it a major transportation hub. However, thanks to its tourism industry, life there was prosperous and peaceful, earning it the nickname "paradise on earth."

Even late at night, the town was bustling with tourists, their colorful flower garlands swaying as they strolled along the stone-paved streets.

Yuto slowly made his way toward the edge of town, soon reaching a secluded area.

His hand caressed the rough rock wall, carefully feeling every artificial structure's rise and fall.

The town was called "Konoha Town," a famous ancient ruin from this era.

People didn't know why the trees there grew so lush, why the rock walls bore massive, man-made statues, or why the town was named "Konoha." But these mysteries that puzzled historians didn't stop people from profiting handsomely from them.

The tombs of the old world had become the money tree of the new one.

That night, He entered the town once again, walking through the ruins of Konoha's gates to arrive at a hidden residence.

The kanji for "Senju" was obscured by vines. He stood there for some time, then raised his hand and knocked gently.

No one responded. He hesitated for a long time before finally summoning the courage to push the door open.

The interior hadn't changed at all. A faint citrus scent lingered in the air, making his mouth feel sweet. He licked his lips and walked deeper into the house.

A blonde woman lay lazily on a tatami mat, her phoenix-like eyes half-closed as she glanced at him. She didn't scold him or welcome him with a smile.

The purple Strength of a Hundred Seal Seal still adorned her forehead.

He reached out, but stopped an inch from her face, as if Tsunade in front of him were a ferocious beast.

The two remained frozen in place, neither making a move.

Finally, with a faint sigh, Tsunade slightly tilted her head, letting her cheek brush against Yuto's palm.

In an instant, the last two shinobi embraced, as if they were trying to fuse their bodies together. Their breath intermingled, and even their hair seemed to tangle tightly.

Just like in the past.

(End of The Story)

Author's Thoughts: "A Villain's Life Starting From the World of Naruto" Or "Life of a Villain in the Naruto World" is my first fan-fiction work, and I made many mistakes in the latter half. The book's performance has been in steady decline, and it's now beyond recovery. I no longer have the passion to carefully craft the Fourth Shinobi World War arc.

Thus, the main story comes to an end here.

Once again, I apologize.

TN: Sigh... From what the author is saying, he lost interest, and the quality of the story declined as well. Anyway, this was dropped because Chinese readers wanted 1,000 chapters of emotionless, cardboard-cutout characters Dick-riding each other.

I wanted to continue it, but I realized my mindset and the author's are really different. I don't know what he had planned, and if I try to continue, I will definitely ruin it more. So, here is our ending. It was super rushed, and the situation with Ruri came out of nowhere and was really unsatisfying. The plot of him using massive izanagi(?) to change reality left a lot of unanswered questions.

Nevertheless, Thank you guys for reading.
