Samantha and Don had been hugging for about a minute when Don decided to try something. He suddenly groaned, hastily pulling away from Samantha, causing her to let go quickly before asking in concern, "What's wrong, Donnie? Are you hurt?"
As she asked this, her eyes scanned Don's body, trying to see if she could find any visible signs of injury. Don forced a smile as he said, "No, I'm not hurt. I'm just feeling a bit sore. I'm fine, I promise."
Samantha frowned and immediately argued, "You're clearly not, Donnie. If you're in pain, just say so. Maybe we should go for a check-up."
Don immediately refused this idea. "No, no, Mom, really, I'm all right. It's just like last time—the pain's faded for the most part, but there's still that sore feeling. I'll probably feel better in the morning once I take a hot bath and properly massage my muscles."
