Logan's face darkened as he heard Luggard's command. The worst part was watching Ruthar immediately obey, walking forward with a determined stride that sent a chill down Logan's spine.
'I can't let Ruthar face this alone...' Logan thought, his body tensing as he prepared to move forward, but Hevin grabbed his arm, her grip firm.
"Don't do it. You're no match for them in this state," she whispered urgently, her eyes pleading with him to reconsider.
Logan knew she was right. He was in no condition to fight, but the thought of standing by and watching another friend get hurt, especially at the hands of the merciless second years, was unbearable.
"I can't just stand here and do nothing," Logan retorted, his voice trembling with frustration as he shrugged off Hevin's hand. "If that's what beast people do, then so be it!" He took a step forward, but Kravin moved to block his path.
