Chapter 24: Colleague of the Beast Master... A home for two
'I should have known Hendricks would not allow me to simply leave the kingdom without sending someone after.' Ruthar placed his palm on himself and initiated healing magic to heal himself slowly.
What confused Ruthar the most was how Hendricks could tell his location. He felt compelled to ask the beast woman and did.
"How did you find me?"
The beast woman loosened her hair which was tied in a ponytail and replied with a tough tone, "Hendricks sent a piece of your cloth across to me, I tracked you down using scent."
Ruthar was mesmerized about this benefit of a Beast person. This species had singly climbed to the best in Ruthar's list shortly after learning from the novel about them.
"I was sent to train you for the next few months before you turn five."
She addressed streching out a letter to him which he immediately took after finishing up with healing.
From the looks of the letter it looked noble. Not just that but the handwritten was Hendricks'.
Without a moment wasted he unraveled it and began to look into the contents.
"Read it aloud, I can't read so you have to do it for me."
The beast woman instructed and Ruthar obeyed with a very mean glare.
"Hi Ruthar it's you Sword master Hendricks... If you are reading this, then you must have met my colleague Eleanor Vance. And from her looks she is a beast woman with over medium sized breast, beautiful face and a sexy figure..."
'Man was Hendricks holding back on me, I love his taste.'
He heard a growl from Eleanor Vance that goaded him to continue immediately. Beast people were known for their short temper and brutality, Ruthar wasn't planning to see those sides anytime soon so he continued:
"She will be your sword instructor for the time being since there is nothing I can teach you within the castle and can't go on this adventure with you. But I can assure you she is far better than me in swordmanship and everything else... Except on the bed, that's when I exact my delicious revenge." Ruthar smiled malevolently enjoying the letter however another violent growl reminded him he wasn't the only one hearing this.
"Apart from all the good features she is highly stupid, and short minded, so be careful not to anger...." Another growl this time Eleanor Vance's sword began to leave her sheath in hostility.
"She's awesome, beautiful and the best! Goodbye Ruthar, love you Eleanor!" He ran through the letter quickly squeezing it afterwards and throwing it away in defense.
And to his final comments he was glad to see Eleanor begin to calm down.
'Man I was so lucky, Hendricks almost killed me, the entire letter was filled with insults that I had to skip till the end... She's so scary.'
Eleanor placed her sword back and pulled Ruthar to his feet. "We need to leave as soon as possible to your hut."
Ruthar nodded and led the way while he mused at the notifications that came during the walk.

Ruthar sat before a small wooden table polished to brown and having a soothing appearance. The plate of rice pouring out warm vapours which Eleanor had cooked was more appealing that anything Ruthar had experienced in his life.
He took a spoon of it at first and the delicacy got him eating the entire plate till it was done.
"You like it?"
Eleanor asked very nervously, more calmer than she usually was at this time. Ruthar not wanting to ruin the mood answered with a honest nod.
"That thing that almost killed you, do you know what it was?" Eleanor asked. It was clear she wanted to test Ruthar's ability.
He was a scholar by the way and read textbooks of Entities, not just that but read the novel very carefully when it came to this sort of things.
"I know what they are why do you ask?" Ruthar was quick to reply.
"You are wrong, you know nothing about them, you also know nothing about fighting witba sword or Magic, all you know is confidence to throw nonesense in everyone's faces."
Her words provoked Ruthar to slam his plate on the table. His pride could not take this insult not after all the endless beatings and training he went through.
"Who the hell do you think you are to tell that fck? Do you even know how hard I trained to merely be here?" Ruthar yelled out to revolt but his words had no effects at all.
"From the way you look you have bever trained in your life, if you had why can't you beat your talented sister? Why do your body exist without scars? If you want to hear what I thought when I saw you defeated by the entity then I'll tell you," she brought her face closer to Ruthar to stay just a foot apart.
"Don't fight Tomaha, bowing to him and lick his boots. This is what I say, what Hendricks would say and also what Kimara would..."
Ruthar slammed his hand on the table hard his face darkening with resentment, "you can talk bad about me, but not aunt Kimara! You do not dare talk about her like that or I'll kill you!"
Eleanor barely flinched from his threats already establishing how impossible it was.
"They assaulted my Aunt and my friend in front of me, they were treated like garbage and the same fate awaits me, if you don't want to train me then I will gladly send you back to where you came!" Still she did not flinch or move a finger, stuff as a rock instigating another wave of anger in Ruthar.
"You are weak and not in any shape to be an Excorcist," Eleanor finally gave a reply that instigated more tenseness in the room, "but your determination intrigues me Ruthar."
She streched out a dark pill out to Ruthar and placed it on the table before him.
"I don't believe in talent or hardwork, but the way I assure you power Ruthar is through darkness, I offer you dark Excorcism."
'Dark Excorcism so early in the novel... Excorcism is mainly cleansing and banishing spirits from the mortal realm but Dark Excorcism was the use of evil spirits with no redeeming qualities to fight other spirits, an art that slowly corrupts the soul and being until latterly becoming a somewhat, demon.'
That was the opportunity presented to Ruthar now.
"If you take the pill you there's no going back, if you're as smart as you claim you should know." She added peaking Ruthar's anxiety.
'The pill strength would vary from what spirit it was gotten from and your amount of feelings aligning with it. For Eleanor to be giving me this, it means it must really be dark and hostile... It would be desperate to take it since I'll be unable to go back on this decision.'
"What spirit entity did you form the pill from?" Ruthar picked up the pull bringing it close to his lips to consume it.
"Something very ancient and dangerous."
Ancient and dangerous was what Ruthar bargained for. So he shoved it ito his mouth and swallowed.
'Gandara, Kimara, Elara, Hendricks.... This is for you.'
[Drake entity has began to corrupt your being]
[Unable to cure this contamination]
Ruthar suddenly got lightheaded collapsing to the ground and passing out from the extreme Mana overload.
