"....." Nora looked at the teacher with a stunned face. She tried to hide the note in her hands but hesitated and held it firmly as she stood up.
The teacher had already reached by her side. She pulled the note from her hands with a glare.
"Maam, I can explain." she started but struggled for the right words. The teacher opened the slip and read it. Her face darkened.
Penny finally smiled. She did not raise her head with the fear of getting attention.
"What is there to explain! I have already told everyone to not cheat. Yet you all are so daring. I can't believe this!" her face had darkened as she glared at Nora.
Many students were looking at her with a snicker. She was the smartest girl in the class. Now what happened! She could not stop herself from cheating? No wonder she cleared the scholarship exam before!
Their mocking and snickering faces did not hold even a bit of reverence.
