The lights were already off as she returned late. When she was going to enter her room, she heard all of them whispering. So she held the door but did not enter at once.
"Don't ask me!" a voice came, a bit fearful. "I have not taken the dress she had brought but you."
"I thought it was my birthday gift. I have gifted her a box of chocolates too." though she said so. Her voice was quivering and sounded tearful. "What if I was dragged in it?" Nora frowned. She knew they were talking about Penny. But why were they so afraid?
"Should we change the rooms? Then we would be free of these arguments." Suggested the first girl again but the other only cried harder.
Nora stood there contemplating if she should walk in or stay there.
"I have decided. I could not let her use me all the time. I will confirm. As long as I pass the slip, would she let me go?" Nora's eyes narrowed, her eyes were icy and full of hatred.
