"You brought more shares for me?" Alric's anger was replaced with a cold smile on his face when he heard her question. He leaned on his seat and stared outside the window.
The sun was about to set. The large buildings were still full of people working day and night as if the city would never sleep.
" The company was facing financial issues. And since I have already bought a bunch of shares for you, I thought you would lose any value. So, I helped them a little. Take It as an advance payment for next year." his lips curled into a sinister smile when the other side went silent.
"Are you sure the company was facing any trouble? It must be the time when their company had earned a good name and profit. How could that be?" Alric's smile froze. He had just sprouted nonsense to her. He had not checked the status of that small company at all. His chair revolved and he pressed a few keys on his laptop.
