Alex's voice was commanding enough for the teacher to take a step back instinctively. She frowned when she realized that a child had intimidated her. But she did not take another step toward the girl again.
She muttered something and glared at Alex before taking rounds of the class. Ha! The girl was no good. It did not matter if she was awake or sleeping when she was going to fail anyway.
