"Alric! You should choose your words wisely. If I did not know any better, I would have thought you were flirting with me." Nora laughed to ease the tension between them. The air felt heavier. His gaze was burning her skin.
"What if I am?" She was stunned. She gave him a chance to back away. But she had never thought he would strike back with such boldness.
"I have a boyfriend." She reminded him of frowning but he only laughed.
"You mean a boy who did not know how to take care of you. He did not even come to accompany you when you had such an important day. I did not see him beside you when you needed someone." Nora looked away not liking how he was judging her life. How he was judging Victor.
"He was not selected so he could not come. We both know that.."
