"Are you sure she had run away with Alex?" Megan could not help but ask Penny. She held the phone tightly and whispered in a low voice, afraid that someone might hear her.
Penny was sitting in the spa. Her hair was inside the spa machine while a face mask on her face. She wanted to frown but did not.
"Does it matter? Alex's family holds power. You can not take his name. Didn't you write that she had run away with a man? Why bother to take a name? If asked, you can say the man did not belong to the school. Or bribe a cleaner or random worker to testify that she had run away with him. As long as there is money, proofs can be created anytime." Penny explained in detail. Her anger rose when only silence mocked her in reply.
She sat up properly in her seat. But a girl ran to stop her from moving. Her hair was coming out from the machine. Penny closed her eyes and leaned on the chair again, relaxing the girl.
