"How much people like you need money!" When Nora did not react so far, Amayra became more unbridled. She did not hide her disdain for Nora.
But Nora's expression did not change. As if a naive girl like her could not understand its meaning.
She slowly took the check from Amayra.
"Fifty thousand dollars." her voice had a hint of shock. Amayra's lips curled into a ridiculing smirk. She nodded arrogantly as she leaned further on the sofa, her lips folding on one another. It was much easier than she had thought.
"Of course, you deserve it. You have been injured badly because of us, we do not want to mistreat you or look miser. After all.."
"And you said that it was Mr Alric's idea?" Amayra frowned and glared at the girl when she cut her in midway. But thinking that she would come to resent Alric too, Amayra nodded softly.
