Chapter 22 - Ch. 4 – Odyssey Unfurled: Embarking Upon the Infinite Path P.2

...

After checking my potential magic, she found something shocking about me.

Surprisingly, I have multi elemental attributes. As a human from my past, I get to use it. I just noticed that I could use a lot of magic. Thanks to my parents who are from the demon and goddess clan, I get to use dark and light magic too.

She was worried about me with my magical abilities. She thought if someone found out about it would do nothing but harm to me. She warned me to be wary all the time and not to trust people. I take her advice in my heart.

After that, she willingly taught me some knowledge about magic that only works for certain conditions that most people are only born with one magic attribute. Average people do not own magic or maybe a little that made them unable to use magic. There is a hierarchy for magic capacity that one could have.

…

Mana limit (Probability)

Large – 10% of the total population

Medium – 40% of the total population

Small – 50% of the total population

…

She also told me that common people only could have one attribute and cannot cast powerful magic because it would drain a large amount of mana. Most people with a large magic pool would be either royalty or noble. But a genius could triple or quadruple elemental magic. There is a chance that those who don't possess elemental magic can own a deviant magic like healing magic, necromancy, alchemist, time magic and et cetera.

Ellis's brows furrowed in concern as she studied me intently, her lips pressed into a thin line. "Don't you tell me that you use wind magic?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry. "I'm afraid you cannot use it as you are also..."

"A commoner?" I finished her sentence with a wry smile. "Don't worry. It's just research for now. No one can prove it until it becomes a fact. I feel like I can do it if I try."

She sighed softly, shaking her head. "I'm afraid you would drain your mana pool if you learn to use different types of magic," she cautioned, her tone laced with concern.

"Perhaps, a commoner could have powerful magic once if it is possible" I conceded, my mind racing with possibilities. "But maybe I have a large mana pool. Who's to say?".

Ellis regarded me with a mixture of skepticism and resignation, her expression softening slightly. "Alright," she relented, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "I will teach you, as you insisted. Consider it extra knowledge, if nothing else."

And so, with Ellis's guidance, I delved deeper into the mysteries of magic, exploring the limits of my own abilities and pushing the boundaries of what was believed possible. As the days passed and our departure drew near, I found myself filled with a sense of determination and purpose, eager to prove that even a commoner like myself could defy the odds and master the forces of nature itself.

…

As I trained with Lady Ellis in the art of healing magic, I marveled at her expertise and the incredible potential of this mystical ability. In just half an hour, she showed me how to channel healing energy into injured plants, demonstrating its effectiveness in not only closing wounds but also repairing bones and neutralizing poisons. It was a revelation to witness the transformative power of healing magic firsthand, and I found myself in awe of Lady Ellis's skill and knowledge. During our training, Lady Ellis explained the limitations of healing magic, cautioning that it could not cure illnesses or curses. However, she revealed that light magic had the ability to purify curses, offering a glimmer of hope to those afflicted by dark magic. The idea of being able to cure curses filled me with a sense of wonder and gratitude, realizing the profound impact such magic could have on those in need.

From what I understand from the knowledge I gained from the Master, there is much more about this world that the humans in this country did not know. Beside that, I also believe that there exists a unique ability where a person can have divine blessings which is only for the ancestor of the seven enlightenment's children. Meanwhile, the ancestors of Seven Deadly Sins bewitched their children with curse.

As I contemplated these revelations, I knew that my journey was only just beginning. There were secrets yet to uncover, challenges yet to face, and mysteries yet to unravel. But armed with the knowledge and guidance of Lady Ellis, I felt confident in my ability to navigate this magical realm and uncover the truth hidden within its depths.
