Nameless can be waking up to the giants gates of Soul Town.
As they open his heart rate increases showing his excitement, even if he says he hates this game, he truly loves it. Afterall it's a beautiful and merciless game. Perfect for a gamer like himself.
He chuckles to himself as he walks through the gate entering Soul Town.
His nose fills with the smell of baked treats and the burning metal of blacksmiths at work. As he walks further inside he can smell the toxicfying smells of potions.
Soul Town is a starter town for the beginners of SCOR. It has everything you could desire, bakeries, blacksmiths, alchemists, and a variety of other shops. It's a beautiful haven perfect for a beginner adventurer. However as you move on from this town the towns will become more specified, bakery towns, towns that are like whole armories, towns that smell covered in poison and elixirs.
Its truly a sight to behold in the late game, Nameless only saw a glimpse of it, so who knows what's the last town. Afterall they're in the country of Soul, and that's all he explored as a tester.
As nameless wanders into the square of Soul Town, he sees vendors constantly trying to haggle from players, him included.
Nameless sighs, "Hah, the NPCs really are realistic aren't they."
He looks down for a second before looking around, the light beam he saw as he was on his way to the town can be seen in the middle of the square, it's like a fancy beacon. Covered in beautiful blue crystals. Who knows how much it costs.
Nameless walks past the square, seemingly not yet interested, he can't check how much coins he has since he can't open his inventory so there is no need. He then appears infront of a large staircase leading to a large mansion.
'Time to haggle some goodies from the lord of Soul Town,' his grin would scare children and grown men alike.
He walks up the stairs slowly, taking in the feeling of the marble staircase through his shoes. It truly is a giant staircase, probably to deter the invaders that are trying to kill him. I mean, who would do all that work just to kill a lord.
Nameless chuckles at the thought.
Once Nameless reaches the top, he takes a second to look behind him taking in the scenery of the town below him. It seemingly towers over the town, a good vantage point for a lord.
He looks back infront of him, his view now being replaced with 2 medium sized double doors. They're fancy but they still lack presence unlike the stairs. He knocks on the door, a few seconds later guards come bursting out.
"WHO GOES THERE!" One of the many guard says, his spear pointed at Nameless.
'So that's where all the guards were.'
Nameless chuckles before his finger touches the spear aimed at his face and lowers it.
"I'm just here to speak with the Lord, I've come a longer ways from the other adventures."
"The lord isn't seeing anyone right now," another guard says, he seems stronger than the others but,
Nameless chuckles,"It wasn't a suggestion, it was an order."
The guards slightly cower in fear and back away allowing him room to walk in.
Nameless's mind has finally revealed what happened to him, the class [Predatoe] and its skills.
He chuckles before walking in, trying not to take a gasp of awe to keep his strong demeanor.
Their was a nice blue carpet leading up to a staircase infront of him, a chandelier hanging from the roof that sparkled like the many stars. The walls were marble with a nice wood outline, dark stone ontop of that outline. It was truly beautiful and more noble-like than the bland doors that were out front.
He can smell the glorious tea that nobles drink, the cinders of a fireplace commoners could only dream of. But the biggest thing was that statue in the middle of the room.
Was that the Lord? One could only guess as they have yet to meet him.
The statue wasn't too big but was atleast bigger than the doors. It was covered in granite, smoothed to perfection. It showed the chiseled abs of a warrior with a shield and spear, seemingly protecting the Manor with his life. The perfect embodiment of a hero, I suppose.
Nameless scoffs at it before walking past it and going up the stairs. It was so well maintained, there wasn't a single squeak in his steps, as a nobles Manlr should be.
He walks up the stairs and opens the doors at the end of them. Holding no thought of delicacy and respect to the lord inside.
As they open a light blinds him for a short minute. He can see windows all along the room with a Noble looking man sitting in his seat, he's skinny with blonde hair and yellow eyes, but it's nothing to scoff at. As he's the second prince of the King, he's-
"It's an honor to meet you Sir Soul," Nameless bows in respect.
The man speaks up, "Nameless, long time no see, just call me by my first name, we're closer than that after all."
Nameless was a bit surprised to know that the NPC remembered him, it was like Achy when he logged back in at the opening release of the game.
Nameless regains his composure and stands back up straight smiling, "Ah, how rude of me Sir Pavilon."
Yes, that's right. This is the second prince, Pavilon Soul, the son of Corpse Soul, the king, and rival to the first prince, Sino Soul.
"Tsk— Nameless stop the formalities, we're close friends."
Nameless closes the doors behind him as he enters and sits in front of the Prince, who's desk is covered in an unsightly amount of papers.
"Haha, sorry old friend, but I'm surprised to see you still in Soul Town."
Pavilon scoffs at the remark of 'old friend', "Ah, yes, father told me to stay here, as it's an important asset to the kingdom, afterall it is the center of the kingdom, and it not being too far from the capital means we need to handle things here properly."
"I see, soooo, what's you're brother up to then?"
"He's busy, you know, being an unsightly bastard," Pavilon scoffs at the thought.
His brother the First Prince is an unsightly bastard, he's powerful but is corrupt as hell.
Nameless doesn't want this, since having a corrupt leader in power who doesn't think fondly of him will be such a set back for him. Pavilon on the other hand, thinks quite highly of him, and if he were to be appointed as the next leader. He could enjoy a luxury not many people would think of.
Nameless chuckles at the thought.
"Ah yes, that sounds just like your pity of a brother. Anyways, what's this paper work your desk is covered with," Nameless asks intently as his eyes scan across the desk looking at the documents, his eyes can see a wax candle all out of wax showing how long he's had to deal with this.
"You know, just royal documents the king gives me and paperwork to handle a town. Just the normal work for being a lord of a town."
"Sounds rough" Nameless can't even think of being behind a desk pretty much 24 hours a day.
Some people don't need to think about that however.
"Anyways, Pavilon, I need you to give me some funds, pretty please."
"Yes yes, here," he opens a drawer in his desk handing him a bag of gold.
"Thanks Pavi, I'll be sure to pay you back."
Pavilon chuckles a bit, "You better."
Nameless gets up from the chair and heads for the door, "See you Pavi," he closes it behind him.
He can faintly hear Pavilon, "Bye Nameless."
He smirks as he walks down the stairs and walking towards the doors, now exiting the Manor.
'Perfect…'
The second prince is a kind fool, that's how Nameless manipulated him when he was a tester, but who would've thought he would've remembered him. The game made it easier than they had to.
He chuckles to himself as the guards that were there earlier cower in fear at the sight of him.
Nameless walks down the large marble staircase.
It takes him a good minute to reach the bottom, but once he does, he immediately walks over to the square and starts buying equipment.
An hour of shopping later, he's now covered in a nice black trench coat, his white mythril daggers giving it some 'pop'. His trench coat has some white on it however, covering some of the outlines and pockets. It's quite fancy. It's a shame he couldn't look at his stats.
He also has some new shoes, they're black boots, they weren't too expensive, but they don't look out of place with his outfit. His leggings are just a plain black, nothing special.
As Nameless looks in awe at his equipment through the reflection of a nearby window, he puts the last bit of his equipment on.
He slides a black chest plate under his trench coat.
"Perfect…"
'That's a shopping well done, now I just need to find an inn I can log out at.'
Logging out at an Inn makes it so that when you die, you will spawn at the Inn. However it can be quite pricey times, causing you to have to pay a fee every real life month just to continue using it.
As nameless walks infront the Inn, he enters it. It's nothing special, it's quite bland actually. The chandelier isn't a sparkling beauty as the one in the Manor and there's dust here in there, but that doesn't matter.
He walks over to the lady at the counter and hands her a gold coin.
She looks in awe as a commoner seeing a gold coin is pretty much a once in a life time experience.
"Y-your room is 203, on the second floor."
He chuckles at her nervous demeanor, "No need to be scared, I'm no noble."
His calm voice instantly struck a chord in her heart and she nods.
Nameless walks up the stairs looking at the room numbers.
'201, 202, 203..'
"Ah, here it is."
He unlocks his room heading inside, it's not too shabby but it's nowhere near a noble persons standards.
Nameless closes the door behind him before walking over and plopping down on the bed.
The mattress is surprisingly soft, the blankets are soft, the pillows are cuddly. It's not bad considering the whole inn is shabby.
Nameless can't but help what the other rooms are like but he wards off the thought.
He didn't realized that it had become day, guess he was just too excited to shop to even realize. But now that he's noticed his headache and eye pain has comeback, although it's not as bad. It kind of sucks being sensitive to the daytime. But it's not like he can do anything about it.
He sighs before a sudden migraine makes his brain feels like it's being split apart.
"Aghhhh!!"
Nameless groans in a massive amount of pain, he can't help but curse the developers of the game once more.
"AGHHHH!!"
