"He was like this when I saw him." Was Damian's reply when I asked him why Jerome's body was all mangled and disfigured. I knew he was lying, but I didn't hold it against him. He had left with rage, and it was obvious he had taken that anger out on Jerome the moment he caught him. But even then, I could tell that Damian wasn't quite satisfied.
"Your bloodlust is showing, Damian." I whispered to him. His eyes had been fixed on Jerome's unconscious body for a while now, and his claws had steadily begun to grow the more he stared at the mangled man.
"I'm sorry—" he apologized softly before taking a deep breath. "I need to get some air." He added before finally walking out of the room.
