I considered creating another council of elders— my own personal councilmen. But decided against it afterwards. The last thing I needed was another board of people telling me what to do. I was tired of receiving orders and being pushed into doing things I didn't want by people who had no idea what rulership felt like. From henceforth, I had decided that I would rule on my own accord.
Luke returned moments later with news that he had finished his job, and I commended him with a nod. Now that the elders were gone, I could now focus on the important matter, and that was getting my own mate and heir. Hayley was already pregnant and would be due soon. It wouldn't take long before news got here, and it wouldn't take people anything to begin talking and making comparisons. I was mateless at the moment, and it was not something that would soon get people talking.
