Evelyn snapped her fingers, creating replicas of various sorts of hideous demons all over the hall. Though they were just imitations, the sight of those replicas sent shivers down to the attendees' spine.
"Year 346, the northeastern sector of the Ebenezer Barricade got breached by the demons. It caused the First Great Ogre Invasion which affected the Shenlong Empire, Taman Principality, and the Anakton Kingdom. The incident lasted for one decade and caused the death of over 15 million people."
Evelyn pressed on with the facts.
"Another breach occurred in the year 401. Causing the Crimson Dawn Incident in the center of the continent. 10 million lives were lost." said Evelyn. "A major breach occurred in the year 510. It caused the Anubis Genocide which lasted 50 years and claimed 80 million lives from the countries located in the Desert Valley region."
Evelyn then pointed to another set of replicas. This time, the demons did not seem as intimidating as the ones from before.
"But let's move our attention to smaller incidents. Weaker demons."
The crowd breathed a sigh of relief because they thought Evelyn was going to talk about less-horrifying incidents since they were moving onto weaker demons.
They were wrong.
"A single B-rank demon escaped the Ebenezer Barricade and infiltrated Taman Principality in 781. The demon disguised itself as a human and worked as a servant in noble households. Over 3000 people, nobles and commoners, were killed by this demon."
The knights, squires, and mages immediately turned their gaze on the servants sitting among them after knowing the possibility one of them could be a demon.
The servants themselves felt uneasy as the suspects could be the people they work with closely every day.
"In the year 840, an A-rank demon infiltrated Zion Holy Nation and used illusion spell to lure children to its lair so it could devour them. During the demon's subjugation quest in year 852, remains of 10.000 children were discovered in its lair."
Hannah, Hilda, the older knights, and the older servants, those with children of their own, trembled upon hearing this information. They were terrified upon the thought that such demon existed in Bara.
Evelyn continued on with the facts.
Even though the demons she was talking about now were weaker, or inferior, to the demons they talked about in the beginning, the incidents those weaker demons caused had more impact to the attendees as they had something to relate to with the victims.
Either the demons disguised as someone like them or the victims were the same age as their loved ones or else.
Each stories had something that made the attendees felt that it was only a matter of time that they become part of such horrid story themselves.
Seeing how terrified her students had become from the words she spoke, Evelyn nodded her head. She was looking forward to this reaction. She wanted this to happen.
"It's okay to feel overwhelmed by the horror the demons have brought to this world. In fact, I want you to embrace them." said Evelyn. "Make sure you remember the terrible nightmare caused by the demons. How feeble they can make you feel in their presence."
Evelyn waved her hand and the demon replicas flew toward her. All of the dirt statues ended up floating behind the young lady.
She was prepared to end the lecture.
"I want you all to go back and reflect on what you've learned so far about the demons. Let your heart understand how terrifying the demons can become."
The people there gulped as they heard Evelyn.
The knights, on the other hand, wondered why Evelyn would ask them to do that when all this time she had been asking them to be brave against demons.
But there was a reason why Evelyn emphasized on the horror of the demons.
"And when you come back again in our next lesson,"
Evelyn walked closer to her students. Her expression was fierce. Her eyes were raging with determination.
"I'll teach you how to kill all those demons." said Evelyn coldly. "EACH. AND. EVERY. ONE. OF. THEM."
Evelyn snapped her fingers and the demon replicas fell to the ground, reduced to smithereens.
She grabbed the textbook they had been using for the lecture and raised it in the air for all to see.
"I swear in Einsof's name, there will be no demon written in this diary of Enoch you will not know how to kill!"
