Bryce and Hannah went to the training ground once they heard news about Evelyn.
With worried expressions hanging over their faces, the two parents confronted their daughter.
"EVELYN!" shouted Bryce.
The young noble girl stopped on her track and went over to her parents by the sideline.
"Good morning, father, mother!" greeted Evelyn with a warm face, though she did not receive the same reply from her parents.
"Darling, what are you doing out here? You're supposed to be resting!"
"Your mother's right, Evelyn. You shouldn't be hurting yourself like this."
Evelyn giggled to their suggestion. She walked closer to them and held their hands.
"Mother, father, my curse has disappeared. I'm fine now!"
"WHAT?!" shouted the parents in disbelief.
Evelyn made a slight frown to their shocked reaction.
Hannah put her hand on her daughter's forehead to investigate whether Evelyn's claim was the truth.
She gasped at what she sensed from Evelyn.
"Our daughter's right. The curse is gone!"
"Are you sure, my love?" asked Bryce again.
"Yes. I don't sense any more demonic energy inside her. As if they just vanished entirely." explained Hannah.
"You didn't notice it while I was unconscious the last couple of days?" asked Evelyn to her parents.
"No! We were already too worried with how you lost consciousness!" said Bryce
"But how did it disappear?" asked Hannah
Evelyn lifted her right palm and created a small ball of light using magic. Not the Primordial Arts she used to defeat the lich, but a basic light elemental magic.
"I'm certain it was the magic that I casted to eradicate the demons. It must have also gotten rid of my curse." said Evelyn.
The young girl moved around in an energetic manner. Showing Bryce and Hannah how fit she was.
"And because the curse is gone, my mana vessel has recovered and now I have overflowing energy. That's why I'm able to exercise like this!"
Hannah nodded to her daughter's explanation.
"I've been meaning to ask this of you, darling. What happened back then in our pilgrimage? Why did the family grimoire glow up once you said those new chants? And why there're now writings similar to the symbols in the mausoleum in what used to be the grimoire's empty spaces?"
"I also never seen that light magic you casted, Evelyn. The one that made all those demons vanish." said Bryce.
"Just what in Einsof's name is going on, Evelyn?" asked the two.
Evelyn smiled at their curiosity. It was understandable that these two would have a lot of questions after what they just experienced in the pilgrimage.
The noble daughter then offered a solution.
"Why don't we discuss this during breakfast? I will try answering all your questions there."
Hannah and Bryce nodded in agreement to her proposal.
Evelyn then retired to her room to wash herself and change for breakfast.
The three reunited at the dining table. There, Evelyn gave Hannah and Bryce a single piece of paper which contained the meaning of the Leonardo's good fortune spell.
Hannah and Bryce glared in disbelief to this revelation.
"To think these are the meaning behind those chants." said Bryce.
"Scion of Elias Leonardo... Great Wisdom... Second Oath... Promised Time…" said Hannah as she analyzed the note. "There're a lot to take in! But it does give some sense to a few things that happened back then."
"The chant says that the Great Wisdom is hidden in the family grimoire and it will be revealed once the Second Oath is spoken." said Bryce. "Considering the Leonardo Grimoire transformed during the pilgrimage and Evelyn learned a new magic spell from it, does that mean the Second Oath has been spoken?"
Evelyn nodded, "That's right! I spoke the Second Oath."
Hannah frowned at Evelyn's statement with genuine curiosity.
"How did you know about the Second Oath, Evelyn? I mean, how did you figure out what to say? I know you can read and understand the ancient language, but where did you learn of the Second Oath?"
"The carvings in the mausoleum does not show only the Leonardo's Oath. The Second Oath is also carved right underneath it, mother." said Evelyn. "I only read what was carved there."
"What does the Second Oath says then? You didn't write it in here." said Bryce while pointing to the paper Evelyn just gave them.
This time Evelyn shook her head, objecting their request.
"I'm sorry. I can't tell you that. Not yet, at least."
"But why, darling?" pressed Hannah.
Evelyn refused to answer and surrendered to silence.
"(I can't tell them about it since the Second Oath and Elias's Message made a mention of Einsof's Chosen One, Age of Revelation, end of days, and the Final Battle. Those are the things humans are not ready to hear just yet.)"
She stared at the two concerning people in front of her with pity.
"(Especially Hannah and Bryce. Since God sent His Chosen One to their daughter's body, after all.)"
Hannah reached to Evelyn's hand. She was desperate to hear more explanation.
"Please, darling. Tell us something."
Seeing how they begged, Evelyn could not help but to give them a little clue.
"All I can say about the Second Oath is that it made the Great Wisdom hidden in the Leonardo Grimoire to be unveiled. And it is my duty as the pledger of the Second Oath to study the Great Wisdom and put it to good use."
Bryce nodded to his daughter's explanation.
"Is that why you were training earlier this morning? To fulfill the Second Oath?"
Evelyn smiled to her father's conclusion.
"Exactly, father! It is important that I improve myself so the Great Wisdom can be used as God intended it to be."
Hannah let out a long sigh after hearing Evelyn. It was definitely a lot for the woman to take in all this information, especially knowing that her daughter just got involved into something grand and divine.
But then Hannah formed a smile on her face and looked at Evelyn.
"Since that's the circumstances, then what can we do to help you?"
Bryce grabbed his wife's hand, ""My love, are you certain with this decision?"
Hannah nodded to her husband.
"You've seen the magic spell our daughter casted back then during the pilgrimage. If the first page of the reformed Leonardo Grimoire contained such powerful spell, imagine what's on the next pages."
She looked back to her daughter with hopeful gaze.
"I think it will only benefit the Empire, or rather, the world that we let Evelyn study it."
After hearing Hannah's reasoning, Bryce could not help but to agree. He turned his face to his daughter.
"What can we do to help, Evelyn?"
Evelyn grabbed her parents' hand and smiled so brightly to them as a respond to their kind support.
"Let me have the Leonardo Grimoire and give me access to the training ground so I could keep on training." asked Evelyn.
"Of course! I'll immediately hand you the grimoire!" said Hannah.
"As for the training ground, I can't let my daughter train in the place where my knights also trains in." said Bryce.
"My love!" Hannah called out to her husband for his objection.
Bryce held up his finger, signaling that he was not finished talking.
"I'm not giving you access to the training ground. Instead, I'm giving you access to the exclusive training hall where the Leonardo family trains in. You'll be the only one using it. And since it's indoor, you will have more privacy in case you need to perform spells from the grimoire that you can't show anybody else."
Evelyn smiled at her father's thoughtful suggestion. She stood up and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you, father!"
She then went to Hannah.
"You too, mother! And if you don't mind, can I have the Leonardo Grimoire right now? I want to study it as soon as possible!"
Hannah nodded, "Of course! Why don't you retrieve it yourself? It's in my study."
Having settled her circumstances to some extent with the Leonardo pair, Evelyn left the dining table to get the Leonardo Grimoire.
With their daughter's gone, Hannah and Bryce shared a look. A concerning one.
