Who am I?
Why do I exist?
What purpose do I serve?
Ghastly whispers filled his ears as he tried to break out of his dazed state, his thoughts growing more chaotic by the second. His vision was blurry and his brain failed to comprehend any information provided to him.
Slowly regaining control over his fingers, he tried his best to move his other body parts, focusing majnly on his limbs. His body felt like it was on fire, almost as if he had lashed out at him with a crowbar.
What is going on? Why can't I wake up?
Panicking, he summoned all his strength, and sat straight up. His ears were ringing
and he felt like he was floating in space. Around him was nothing but lush green fields. Directly infront of him stood a Banyan tree and upon closer inspection, one could see a cracked mirror embedded into it.
Am I still dreaming? What is this place? I have to wake up soon, my deadline is nearing, and boss will be very mad if I can't hand over the project by today.
He slowly walked towards the tree, taking a glimpse at the mirror. The whispers which were incoherent, now became clearer, and the image in the mirror stood with blood red eyes and an unnerving smile etched onto its face.
What the hell is that thing?
Fear gripped his heart as he stumbled backwards. The thing in the mirror reached out of the mirror and grabbed his leg and dragged him inwards, not even giving him a chance to scream.
If this is a dream, I will be damned to think how my nightmares would look like.
And with that final thought, he passed through the mirror, treading through the unknown.
