After the group finished their meal, they paid the bill and left the restaurant. "Hmm... it's still quite early," Ruby pondered. "Maybe I could buy Nerio a few clothes?" she suggested excitedly. Amelia agreed with her and suggested, "How about that mall over there? I'm pretty sure there are plenty of clothes stores there!"
And so, the group made their way to the nearby mall. Upon reaching the mall, they entered the bustling shopping complex. The air was filled with the scent of various foods, the chatter of shoppers, and the hum of activity. Nerio's eyes widened in wonder as he took in the sights and sounds of this new environment.
"Alright, let's start by finding a store that sells clothes for different sizes," Ruby suggested. The trio navigated through the mall's corridors, finally spotting a clothing store that seemed to fit the bill. They walked in, and Ruby began browsing the racks, looking for clothes that might fit Nerio's unique physique.
"Hey, Ruby, how about these?" Amelia called out, holding up a couple of t-shirts and pants. Ruby examined them and nodded in approval. "Those should work!"
Nerio stood patiently as Ruby held the clothes up to him for size. With some trial and error, they managed to find some shirts and pants that fit him relatively well.
With their mission accomplished, they headed to the cashier to pay for the clothes. As they left the store, Nerio seemed oddly content with his new clothes. The group laughed and shared playful banter as they strolled through the mall, enjoying the simple pleasure of the moment.
As they walked toward the mall's exit, a sudden sense of foreboding gripped Ruby, as if unseen eyes were watching them from behind. She turned around swiftly, only to find a crowd of people engaged in casual chatter. Ruby stood there, a slight unease creeping over her, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Concerned, Amelia asked, "Is there something wrong, Ruby?" Ruby shook her head, her voice a bit shaky as she replied, "N-nothing... I thought someone was watching us." "Hmmm... okay, let's go home," Amelia responded, and they continued their way towards the exit.
As the day drew to a close, they realized how exhausted they were from all the shopping and excitement. They decided to head back home, reminiscing about the day's events.
Back at Ruby's apartment, Ruby placed the bags by the side of the sofa. "Ahh, what a day!" She sank into the soft cushions, letting out a sigh of relief and relaxation after a long, exhausting day.
Nerio promptly settled on the floor and retrieved his newly purchased clothes. Ruby glanced down at him, curious about the rustling of the paper bag. Then, Nerio unfurled his big, fluffy sweater and quickly donned his newfound attire, a look of contentment on his face.
After he had fully put on his sweater, his fins in his elbows caused a bit of frustration as they poked out from the sleeves. Ruby couldn't help but chuckle as she offered, "Let me fix it, but you'll need to take your sweater off." Nerio comprehended her request and proceeded to remove his sweater.
Handing her his sweater, Nerio watched attentively as Ruby promptly retrieved her sewing kit and began to work. She measured both of the shark's elbow fins and skillfully sewed the fabric, ensuring a perfect fit. With careful precision, she made incisions in the sleeves to accommodate Nerio's elbow fins.
After finishing her adjustments, she wiped her forehead with her arm and handed the sweater back to Nerio. "Here, give it a try. It should fit well now," she said, offering him his sweater with a smile.
As they finished adjusting Nerio's clothes, Ruby and Nerio exchanged satisfied smiles. "Looks great on you!" Ruby complimented. Nerio nodded with gratitude, and suddenly hugged ruby tightly with his new wore sweater
Feeling the unexpected yet gentle hug, Ruby smiled and hugged him back. "You're welcome, Nerio. I'm glad you like it," she said, her voice filled with sincerity.
Nerio slowly released the hug, his eyes reflecting his gratitude and affection for Ruby. After this special moment, Ruby headed to her room and settled onto her bed to sleep. As for Nerio, this time he lay on the couch, his new favorite sweater resting on his chest, as he drifted into a peaceful slumber.
