Chapter 6 - The Design & Development Division

Ashtarot led the children to the next section of the development division, where the sound of machinery grew louder and the air was filled with a mixture of mechanical hums and occasional hissing of steam.

"This part," Ashtarot explained, "is where we fine-tune the abilities and characteristics of our monsters. Every detail is meticulously crafted to ensure they serve their purpose in the dungeon."

The children peered through another set of glass windows into a room filled with various stations. Here, monsters of different shapes and sizes were being tested and adjusted by specialized machines and technicians.

Some were being imbued with elemental powers, while others were having their physical attributes enhanced.

One of the children, a small girl with a horn on her temple and one eye, pointed at a station where a technician was working on a wolf-like creature with metal plating.

"What's happening there?" she asked.

"That's where we enhance the physical capabilities of our monsters. This wolf is being fitted with armor and enhanced speed to make it more formidable in battle." Ashtarot explained with spirit.

He liked it when someone was interested in his line of work, that way, he could recruit them and solve the understaffed and overworked problem that haunted this dungeon.

The children watched in awe as the technician finished the adjustments and the wolf creature sprang to life, moving with fluid grace and impressive speed.

As they moved on, they came to a vast, open space filled with various terrains—forests, deserts, and even icy tundras.

"This is the simulation area," Ashtarot said. "We test the monsters here to ensure they can handle different environments and combat scenarios."

The children pressed against the viewing glass, watching as a mechanical hydra battled against simulated adventurers, its heads weaving and striking with lethal precision.

"Wow!" the children exclaimed, their excitement palpable.

"Mr. Ashtarot, how is all this possible? How much did it cost?" one child asked.

Ashtarot rubbed his chin, pondering how to explain it simply. "We don't use money. Instead, we use 'Soul Fragments.' These fragments come from humans who die in this dungeon, and their souls are absorbed."

A child, looking perplexed, raised his hand. "But don't the people who die here end up back on the first floor?"

Ashtarot nodded. "Indeed. However, each time they die, they lose a part of their soul. Eventually, they become lost souls, wandering the dungeon for eternity, unable to return to real life." His crooked smile sent shivers down the children's spines.

After that, Ashtarot guided them to various machines, explaining how the dungeon operated.

The children looked happy and curious each time he showed them something new, lifting Ashtarot's mood. These children would be the next generation of monsters.

Some would become rulers, some workers, and some might be interested in dungeon management. Ashtarot knew he had to take this seriously and keep them engaged in every activity he offered.

"Now, we will move to the design division. Specifically, we'll meet one of the three heads dragon you've all been eager to see."

The children cheered, following him with delight and joy.

Sorrel was in the middle of sewing dolls. She stitched red eyes into its face. The doll had a strikingly handsome face, with black hair, red eyes, and a stylish black tuxedo, making it perfect.

"Ashtarot, you will be mine someday. I know you will," she murmured to the doll like a mantra. Once it was finished, she kissed it.

"Ahhhh~ Ashtarot, I want you to touch me!" she squirmed, her face reddening as she sniffed it.

"It would be great if I could chain him inside the dungeon and make him mine." Her pupils began to form hearts.

The silver flowers around her swayed as if moved by the wind, even though she was inside the solarium filled with sewing projects and dolls. Their movement signaled something else.

"Ohh... Someone's coming," Sorrel murmured, placing the doll on the sofa.

She stood up and brushed off her long silver dress adorned with small diamonds, preparing her best smile.

When Sorrel saw who visited her, her sapphire eyes gleamed with joy. She wanted to hug Ashtarot but felt a pang of disappointment when she saw the children and their teacher accompanying him.

Still, she kept her smile.

"Lady Sorrel, I hope I am not disturbing your work," Ashtarot said politely.

"Of course not, Ashtarot. You are welcome here anytime."

Sorrel beamed at the sound of his voice. It felt like forever since she had heard his hoarse, baritone voice that always make her horny, even though she had just been stalking him a moment ago.

"Children, this is one of the dragon heads, Lady Sorrel. She is the head of the Design and Development division and the owner of the dungeon," Ashtarot introduced her.

Sorrel bowed slightly and said, "Hello, children. I'm Sorrel, the doll maker," waving friendly.

The children looked at her in awe, murmuring about her beauty. Because Sorrel was so welcoming, they surrounded her, asking many questions:

"Three-headed dragon sister, you are so beautiful. What's your secret?"

"Aren't you supposed to have three heads, sister Sorrel?"

"The doll in your room is so beautiful! How did you make it?"

Sorrel could only manage an awkward laugh. Despite her dislike for children, they always seemed to flock to her. She stole a glance at Ashtarot, who smiled faintly while observing them.

Her body suddenly shook, she couldn't hold all of her desire anymore, 'AAAHHH~ Why are you looking at me like that, Ashtarot? You must love me that much aren't you?' she thought.

Her face flushed red as she covered her mouth, and tried to hold her scream.

"Lady Sorrel, why don't you show them how to make the elite monster and modify them?" Ashtarot suddenly said, making Sorrel nod and more hornier.

'AHH! AHH! HE LOOKED AT ME!!!!' she screamed internally.
