As they climbed the stairs, the rain began to pour, making the already slippery steps even more treacherous.
Despite the conditions, Tomoko moved swiftly, leaving Moloch struggling to keep up.
"Can we just teleport to the top of the mountain?"
Moloch protested. Though he had once been a demon general, he was now a white-collar worker, more accustomed to desk work than physical exertion.
"You youngsters are weak! This is just a warm-up for an old lady like me! How could you keep babbling like a baby?"
Tomoko retorted, her movements smooth and silent as she sped up the steps with her hands clasped behind her back.
"Seriously? You know I'm probably older than your grandmother, right? And why do we need to climb these stairs if we can just teleport?!" Moloch argued, frustration evident in his voice.
