Chapter 2 - The Beginning of Dungeon (UPDATE)

At the beginning of creation, the Goddess designed a perfect creature, which She called "human." However, humans grew weary of their peaceful existence and began to kill their own kin.

Concerned for their well-being, Goddess decided to introduce another creature to keep them occupied.

"Let's make monsters that will make them busy for a while. I can't let them go extinct."

And so, She brought forth monsters such as Devils, Orcs, Undead, Vampires, and many others, each harboring malicious intent toward humanity.

This strategy succeeded in diverting humans from their self-destructive tendencies.

The Devils established their kingdoms, sparking the first great war among the races. This conflict ultimately strengthened the position of human kingdoms while weakening those of the other races.

With that, humans get bored again and keep killing their own race. Then that lazy ass Goddess said:

"Ehhh??? Why did my perfect creation become a pain like that? The hell, let's just create dungeons full of treasure all over this world to get them busy again."

The creation of dungeons fell to Lucifer, a meticulous architect from the Devil race. He sought clarification from Goddess:

"What form should these dungeons take? Towers? Underground structures?"

"Nah, just made as you like. Don't forget to throw a bunch of strong monsters there." She said.

"Ck, this useless Goddess," Lucifer muttered under his breath.

"I apologize for Her behavior. She seems to grow lazier by the day," sighed Gabriel, the Angel.

"Just make the dungeons as engaging as possible. Beauty and complexity are encouraged."

"At this point, you are the God now," Lucifer remarked.

"Oiii... Is it alright to twist the story like this?" Moloch suddenly whispered, interrupting Ashtarot's narrative.

"Shut up, Moloch. This is the true story. That sloth of a Goddess's true colors need to be shared with everyone," he replied, irritation evident in his voice.

"Remembering how She just throw away Her job like that, making me pissed."

"Do you know his weight is more than 500 kg now? That Goddess couldn't even leave Her office without gasping for breath." He mocked.

Although the Goddess was from half Titan race, it still wasn't normal for Her to have that much weight.

"Shhh... Look at the children, Ashtarot! Don't crush their imaginations about God like that!" Moloch whispered frantically, his frustration evident.

Ashtarot glanced down, his red eyes observing the children's varied reactions. Some appeared perplexed, while others were entirely disconnected, amusing themselves by picking their noses and snorting.

Bowing to their eye level, he addressed them sternly, "Listen, you brats. If you keep acting like this, I'll send you to the deepest pits of hell and make you slaves for the rest of your lives."

"Or worse, I'll send you to Goddess's domain to work beneath Her. There you'll experience true hell."

He looked at them with dead eyes and a dark aura started to emit from his body. His striking crimson eyes strike the children like a knife and make them scared shit.

"EKKK!!!!"

"WE ARE SORRY!!!"

"HUAAAA!!!!"

Cries erupted from some of the children, while the teacher attempted to calm them down.

The teacher wanted to reprimand Ashtarot, but the imposing figure before him deterred him. Ashtarot was undeniably frightening.

He then clapped his hands. "Now, let's continue the story."

"After that, dungeons kept appearing in this world, Lamein, making those foolish humans become hunters in search of gold and treasure, or just to test their power."

Turning to the group, he announced, "Now, since we are done with the command deck, let's move to the fourteenth floor to see our victor, Enigmata Genesis's domain, which is still under maintenance."

He prepared a teleportation spell, a magic circle forming on the ground.

"Ohh... I'm coming with you. I'm bored here," Moloch said, stepping into the circle.

Ashtarot sighed but allowed it, and with a flash of light, they were all transported to the fourteenth floor.

"Ahhh~ what a boring day. Man, humans are really getting weaker each day. I wonder why."

The creature, resembling an alien with tall, skinny, grey skin, and big eyes, sat on a chair, sipping wine and sighing deeply.

He didn't wear any clothes, there was nothing on down there or something interesting to look at.

He looked at the broken ceiling and the giant mecha above him, thinking that his life was a waste if he kept working in this place. Thinking about that makes him irritated.

"Hey! Work faster! How long do I have to wait like this?!"

He screamed at another creature wearing a welding helmet, busy with a large machine dangling from the ceiling, the Enigmata Genesis.

"Well, it's not like another party will come here soon," he sighed again, sipping his drink.

However, contrary to what he might have anticipated, a sudden, familiar voice echoed throughout his domain.

The sound of footsteps grew closer, and before he could react, they were already standing right in front of him.

It was Ashtarot, who addressed the group, "Everyone, this is the fourteenth floor, Automaton Sanctuarium. A place for golems and what humans in other worlds call 'mecha' or 'robot."

"It's just fancy golems made of steel instead of dirt." he rested his arms on his back, walking straight and upright approaching the giant mecha.

He continued, "Yes, we borrow technology from other worlds. Foolish humans and monster races always think they are alone in this world."

"They are wrong! There are many worlds more advanced than Lamein!" His tone was firm, like giving a speech.

"Ah, yeah, what I'm showing you is just the boss domain. The fourteenth floor is a big place to be explored!"

The children looked around in awe. The boss domain resembled a giant abandoned laboratory with ruined buildings scattered throughout.

Power cables, crackling with electric shocks, dangled precariously from the broken ceiling above and snaked across the ground.

The ceiling was flat, as they were deep underground, making the boss domain dim and eerie.

The only sources of light were the sporadic lamps around the ceiling, casting an intermittent glow that gave the place a theatrical, almost staged appearance.

Suspended from the ceiling by giant cables was the Enigmata Genesis, a colossal mecha.

Its form was battered and partially destroyed, not from battle, but from its very design—a machine built to appear in perpetual decay.

Above them, a vast hole yawned open in the ceiling. This was the intended path for adventurers, a daunting gap that dared parties to cross and face the formidable boss within.

Meanwhile, the alien creature spat out his drink. He stood up in shock and hurriedly transported himself back to the mecha's pod.

'Holy shit! What the heck is wrong with Ashtarot? Why did he suddenly come without telling me!' he cursed inwardly.

'I almost got caught in this lame body!'

"Ehhh... What's that ugly creature that suddenly disappeared?" one of the children said, perplexed.

"Ah... That's the true form of Enigmata, his name is Zaek. He is a race human called an alien," Ashtarot said, glaring at Zaek, now inside the mecha.

He hated lazy workers, Zaek was one of them. Though, he couldn't blame him since he didn't have anything to do in the first place.

"EEEKKK!!! Why is he so scary?" Zaek exclaimed.

"He's the one who should apologize for entering my domain without permission!"

"Ohhh... I see... He's not as cool as I thought." the child commented.

Hearing those cruel words from a child made Zaek depressed. He slumped in his chair, tears streaming down his face.

Moloch, with his keen eyes that could see for meters, observed the scene from a distance. He shook his head, understanding the alien creature's pain. Children can be cruel sometimes.

"But, Mr. Ashtarot, what is that creature flying around?" another child asked, pointing at a large insect hovering in the air.

It was a creature resembling a fly, but as big as an adult's face.

"They are called Mechamites. One of the lowest ranks in the Devil race. They work as repairers for the mecha on the fourteenth floor since this floor specializes in mecha and golems," Ashtarot explained, not caring about the depressed Zaek.
