Zarniya ran away from Messiah because she thought he might join her in the bath. It wasn't that she could reject him.
Well, maybe that was precisely the reason why. She didn't think she could ever reject Messiah anymore.
Her cheeks burned as she remembered his lips on hers.
"Princess, let us massage your muscles. They seem tense."
Zarniya looked at the maids and quickly lowered her gaze. She raised herself out of the bathtub so they could reach her and do what they must.
They gently took hold of her arms and massaged her shoulders, calves, and head.
This was supposed to help her relax, but she wasn't comfortable with everyone touching her like this. Still, they always insisted on showering her with this kind of luxury.
"Sir Messiah will be delighted with the new bath perfume you wore, Princess."
