Maybe Messiah should not have teased Zarniya so much this morning. It felt like karma had come swiftly as the day was ending.
Zarniya was never a fan of alcohol; he had seen her depressed, in love, angry, nonchalant, cold, and with all sorts of personalities, except drunk. And tonight, he was experiencing a drunk Zarniya.
Drunken Zarniya was a sweet nightmare for Messiah.
"Master, don't fall asleep," Messiah said, pushing Zarniya's forehead as he held her body upright. She blinked groggily and then looked at him with a wide smile.
"Saya! It's you," she giggled, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Saya, I missed you~" She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly. "Saya, you smell so good," she laughed, squeezing him again.
Messiah sighed in defeat and tightened his grip on her unsteady form.
"You drank a lot," he said, brushing her messy hair.
