Chapter 18 - The Missing Documents

"Your family suspects that you spend your time in idleness and debauchery! But no one has solid proof of it.... I will provide the evidence. It won't be difficult for me to arrange for a woman who will go directly to your mother and tell her the story of how she was ruined by you."

"Oh!" Imran pursed his lips in a worried manner, then spoke slowly, "My mother's shoes are all-proof. Well, Super Fayyaz, go ahead and try it. You will find me a patient and forbearing son!... Here, enjoy some chewing gum."

"You won't have a place in this house..." Fayyaz said.

"You have your house." Imran replied.

"So you won't tell me."

"Obviously."

"Alright! Then you won't interfere in these matters anymore. I will handle it myself." Fayyaz said in a dry tone as he stood up. "And if you still interfere after that, I will take you into legal custody."

"Will this custody be around the legs or the neck?" Imran asked seriously. He stared at Fayyaz for a few moments, then said, "Wait!" Fayyaz stopped and looked at him helplessly!... Imran opened the cupboard and took out the same leather bag that he had snatched from some unknown people the previous night. He opened the handbag, took out a few papers, and handed them to Fayyaz. As soon as Fayyaz unfolded one of the papers, he exclaimed involuntarily.... Now he was quickly glancing over the other papers as well.

"Where did you get these?" Fayyaz asked, almost panting. His hands were trembling with intense excitement.

"From a scrap dealer's shop.... It was very difficult to get them at the rate of two annas per pound."

"Imran!... For God's sake." Fayyaz swallowed and said.

"What can poor Imran do!" Imran said in a dry tone. "If he starts interfering, you will take him into legal custody."

"Dear Imran! For God's sake, be serious."

"I am so serious that you can give me BP candies."

"Where did you find these documents?"

"I found them lying on the street! And now I've handed them over to the law. Now it's the law's job to find the hands to put handcuffs on... Imran stepped aside."

Fayyaz kept looking at him helplessly.

"But hear this." Imran laughed. "Even the angels of the law cannot reach these people!"

"Alright, then at least tell me what these documents have to do with these matters?" Fayyaz asked.

"You should know that." Imran suddenly became serious. "All I know is that these documents are related to the Foreign Office, but what it means for them to be in the hands of those thugs, I don't know."

"In whose hands?" Fayyaz asked, startled.

"Those! In that building..."

"My God!" Fayyaz muttered anxiously. "But how did you get them?"

Imran recounted the events of the previous night. During this time, Fayyaz paced restlessly. Occasionally, he stopped to glare at Imran. When Imran finished speaking, Fayyaz said:

"Unfortunately, you did a very bad thing.... Why didn't you inform me about this yesterday?"

"Well, I'm informing you now. I've even given you the address of that house. Do whatever you can." Imran said.

"What use is it to go there now?"

"Why not? What's the harm?"

"Do you know what these documents are?" Fayyaz asked.

"They're pretty good! They could sell as scrap paper."

"Alright, then I'm going!" Fayyaz said, gathering the papers and placing them in the leather bag.

"Are you going to take them just like that?" Imran asked. "No, don't do that, otherwise I might have to track down your killers too."

"Why?"

"Call a police car." Imran laughed. "Since last night, those people have been looking for me. I stayed out of the house all night. I think they must be watching the house now! Anyway, now you can tell me how the documents are."

Fayyaz sat down again, wiping the sweat from his forehead. After a while, he said, "These documents were robbed seven years ago, but not all of them are here. A responsible officer from the Foreign Office was traveling with them... I can't tell you where or for what purpose he was going because it's a government secret. The officer was killed, and his body was found, but there was also a Secret Service agent with him whose whereabouts are still unknown... Maybe he was also killed, but his body was never found."

"Wow... this is a big game," Imran said, thinking. "But I will try to end it soon."

"What will you do now?"

"It's too early to say anything," Imran said. "And listen, keep these documents with you for now and leave the handbag with me. No, take it with you!... I have several plans in mind! And yes, there should be a guard around that building day and night!"

"Why?"

"Because I will build your tomb there," Imran said irritably.

Fayyaz stood up and started to call for a police car.
