Eiravyne wasn't aware of what the spell entailed or how her blood moved in and out of her body under Karl's incantation, but Ilkar did, and he was furious.
The spell was dangerously intricate, and Karl hadn't even warned him about it.
As Eiravyne stood, Ilkar saw the signs of her impending collapse. He immediately took her into his arms, glaring at Karl.
"What is the meaning of this? You know you can't risk her life like that... She is... she is too important," Ilkar spat, his voice laced with anger and concern.
Eiravyne closed her eyes and slipped into unconsciousness, her body limp in his arms.
Karl looked at him with a teasing smile and replied, "I know how important she is. You asked me to find a way... and I did."
Ilkar's jaw clenched as he held Eiravyne close, his anger barely contained.
"Next time, warn me. I won't tolerate such recklessness again."
