"Ilkar's not here," Ilomina stated plainly, her tone firm and decisive.
"Where is he?" Eiravyne asked urgently.
Ilomina hesitated briefly before answering, "The king summoned him because of you." Her voice carried a mix of accusation and concern.
Ilomina's words hung heavily in the air.
"B- because of me?" Eiravyne finally managed to ask, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ilomina gazed at her, her expression unreadable yet edged with a hint of frustration.
"Because your existence here has stirred more trouble than anyone anticipated," she replied sharply.
Eiravyne recoiled slightly at the blunt assessment, feeling the weight of guilt settle upon her shoulders. "I didn't mean to..." she started, but Ilomina cut her off with a dismissive wave of her hand.
"It doesn't matter what you meant," Ilomina interjected coolly. "What matters is that you need to leave before things get worse."
