Eiravyne's heart skipped a beat as she looked up to see Ilkar standing in the doorway, his eyes blazing with anger.
Theodore, startled by the sudden outburst, clung to Eiravyne, his small hands gripping her tightly.
Eiravyne quickly composed herself, shielding Theodore protectively with her arm.
"It's n-not what you think..I was just …," she began, trying to keep her voice steady.
Ilkar's gaze shifted from Eiravyne to Theodore, his expression hardening. "Theodore, go back to your room, now " he commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Theodore hesitated, looking up at Eiravyne with worried eyes.
She gave him a reassuring nod, gently urging him to follow Ilkar's order. "It's okay, Theodore. I'll be fine."
Reluctantly, Theodore released his grip on Eiravyne and slid off the bed. He cast one last worried glance at her before hurrying out of the room.
