Eiravyne's eyes blazed with anger as she met his gaze, her chest heaving with the effort of trying to fight him off.
"E-Explain? E-Explain!!" she hissed, her voice dripping with contempt. "There's n-nothing you can say that will ch-change what you've ..done!"
Ilkar knew he had lost control of the situation, but he couldn't let her go, not when she knew the truth that could destroy everything.
He maneuvered her body once more, his hands sliding down to her waist as he shifted his weight, pinning her beneath him, and making her face him.
Her struggles only seemed to fuel his determination, his grip tightening as he forced her to remain still.
"I had no choice, Eira" he insisted, his voice betraying a hint of desperation. "You don't understand—"
