'Innate Domain?'
"Elder Ones, what is an Innate Domain?" Sheldon chanted.

Having no clue on what that really meant, Sheldon made his way to the city, which was, by far, the biggest part of the Time Rift.
Before him was a large wooden gate with intricate carvings emulating the amount of effort put into the making of the gate. Two guard clad in golden armor stood before the slightly ajar gate. Their armor gleamed in the light, sending shivers down Sheldon's spine.
Sheldon was hiding behind a bush while gathering leaves to somehow clothe himself. Simultaneously, he stated planning something -- a task that would stain his hands.
'I hope this will work.'
He then left his hiding spot and walked forward, asking:
"Hey, can I get in?"
The guards seemed to be murmuring something into each other's ears. Sheldon suspected that they were gossiping.
Then, one of the guards asked:
"What're you wearing, boy?"
Sheldon wore a makeshift short made of the azure leaves of the forest.
"Just some leaves, nothing serious."
The guard on the left then said:
"Well, come in; but you'll have to switch that out for something else."
Walking into the now opened gates, Sheldon replied:
"Yeah, got it."
As he walked into the cobblestone streets of the large city, he started a count down in his mind. His movements came to a halt. Sheldon shifted his gaze back to the closing gates.
'Now!'
Sheldon commenced his assault with a dash. Reaching past the gates, he lifted his shotgun up. With his aim set on the guard on the left, he pulled the trigger.
Clang!
The guard cut the silver bullet in half, avoiding injuries in the process. With swift footwork, he quickly lunged towards the aspiring teen.
Dodging a horizontal slash by a hair's breadth, Sheldon shifted his assault to the guard on the right. He ran forward and raised his shotgun towards the man's head.
As he continued his assault, Sheldon felt something arise in his body. His body surged with energy as he lunged. Adrenaline flowed through him as if a dam broke its banks.
He was, indeed, experiencing an adrenaline rush.
The guard braced himself by lifting his katana to kill the teen. However, his action was in vain.
Rewards:[Postponed; affiliant still in combat.]
The Song resounded after he killed the guard.
'One more left...'
As Sheldon shifted his stance towards his remaining opponent, his iris narrowed. The guard was already upon the young teen, and brought his sword down in a vertical slash.
Blood spurt out of Sheldon's left shoulder, bringing a great deal of pain along with it.
With his right arm, he swiftly aimed his gun towards the guard. He pulled the trigger sending a speeding silver bullet to the man.
However, the silver bullet was shot towards... nothing.
"He... h-he disappeared?!"
In the next second, Sheldon found himself on the ground, the guard right on top of him.
"Your foolish act has brought upon you your peril." the guard uttered. "May the Ellycit be with your soul."
He lifted his sword, ready to end the boy's life. Sheldon began to get nervous.
'Ah, I still hope this works.'
Sheldon then said, confidence finding itself on his face:
"Boom."

"Elder Ones," Sheldon chanted. "take me into the Crimson Forest."
He was, once again, dragged by shadow. This was no surprise to the aspiring teen, mostly because of his previous experience.
With the movement of shadows coming to a halt, Sheldon arrived at his destination, shivers sent down his back as the darkness of the Crimson Forest enveloped his surroundings.
With curiosity, he chanted:
"Elder Ones, lend me my Mana Keys."
Before him, the two Mana Keys weaved themselves from the darkness.
"Elder Ones, tell me about my Mana Keys."

Sheldon then held the black elixir and touched the lid.
The Song's soothing whisper approached his ears.
[Would you like to consume the Shadow's Elixir?]
Sheldon's mind immediately surged with a myriad of thoughts.
As a child, he always wanted to be a Flamecharm manipulator, and now, he has the chance.
He knew that consuming the Elixir would lower his chances of ever manipulating Flamecharm; instead, it would increase his chances of becoming a Shadowcaster. Still, the choice remained to be his.
The Song began to get weary of his sudden pause.
With his answer thought out, he said:
"Yes, I would."
