Mr. George asked Elsa what happened and she told him, she was diagnosed of being HIV positive and she wasn't HIV positive prior to her sexual encounter with Wilson. So she knew she was infected by Wilson.
Silence took over Mr.George's apartment for some minutes. He was thinking about everything Elsa just told him and couldn't still believe it.
However,he didn't know what to say or where to start from because he knew that HIV patients spend lots of money on their medications and they were still struggling to feed properly and a bigger problem has surfaced.
Meanwhile, Wilson became so worried about his health after Elsa told him she was HIV positive and the young lady he had sex with on the day Elsa came insulted him and left angrily because she heard he infected Elsa with HIV. He couldn't believe Elsa got HIV from him,so he went to the hospital to check to find out.
After he was tested,the result came out to be negative and that is contradicting what Elsa said. So he immediately knew he wasn't responsible for her predicament and swore to lock up Elsa I'm the cell if she ever accused him of infecting her.
Elsa was sitting waiting to hear what her Dad would say next. She blamed herself for not listening to Lilian's advice because if she did,all these problems wouldn't have arised.
Mr. George finally broke the silence saying, "Elsa,I'm still surprised about everything you just said and I'm disappointed in you for sleeping with a man you barely knew but we can't be crying over spilled milk. What we should be thinking about is a solution to this problem."
" Am so sorry Dad that I disappointed you. Lilian warned me against attending the party but I disregarded her advice because I wanted to see how attending parties felt like but now I regret every bit of it," replied Elsa.
Mr. George told her it was okay that they will discuss it with her mom to hear her own contribution. He also asked if she went for a test in the hospital to be sure and she showed him the test result for confirmation.
"What is the medication like? What did the doctor say?" Mr. George inquired. " The doctor said I should come back soon for the medication to kick start but I told him I don't have money but he said some medications are free but I will still spend money," replied Elsa.
"We are actually struggling financially but we'll see how we can raise money for the medication," said Mr. George.
Mrs. George, Elsa's mom came back from work and saw Elsa and her Dad wearing a long face and she asked them what was wrong but none of them could speak. After a while,Mr.George said, "Elsa here is a carrier of HIV because she had a one night stand with a man she barely knew,"
"What! Elsa is that true,how can you even think of sleeping with a man you barely know? I'm so disappointed in you. After all the training I gave you,yet you threw them away because you wanted to see how life is,is that so Elsa? I would have said. Your behavior has changed lately."
"I even called Lilian your friend to find out what was wrong but she said she doesn't know but I'm sure she's aware of this right?"Mrs. George replied feeling frustrated.
Elsa nodded in agreement to the question her mom asked her. Elsa's mom looked at Elsa for a while and started crying uncontrollably. She couldn't believe Elsa; her only hope of helping the family financially is now carrying a deadly disease.
However,Mrs. George asked Elsa how she met Wilson and if she had any information about him. Elsa told her that they met at Anna's birthday party for her classmate and she knew Wilson's apartment but doesn't have his number.
"Did you ask your classmate Anna if she knew him so she could help you?" Mrs. George inquired. " Yes mom, I have asked her countless times but she kept saying she doesn't know him even after explaining things to her," replied Elsa.
However,Mrs.George asked Elsa how she got to find out she was HIV positive. Elsa showed her the test result and explained to her what the doctor had told her.
" Is alright Elsa,we'll see how we can raise the money for the medication so you can start treatment immediately," replied Mrs.George.
That evening, Elsa's parents were alone in their bedroom and we're so worried. Elsa's mom kept crying because she didn't know where they would start from regarding this situation. They were so poor and they were still paying debt they inquired and now another problem had surfaced.
Anna resumed school after being compelled by her Dad. Upon getting to school,she saw Venessa and Sarah but they didn't act as though they knew her.
She walked towards them and apologized to them for everything she had ever done to them.
Venessa and Sarah just walked past her and didn't say a word to her. Anna was so embarrassed and she left.
Meanwhile, Elsa was moody and was sitting alone in the class when Lilian entered and they exchanged pleasantries and Elsa told her that they should go to a quiet place and discuss. Unknown to them that Anna followed them to find out what they were going to discuss.
" Lilian, my parents are now aware I'm HIV positive and they are really worried about it. Am so disappointed in myself for hurting them."said Elsa with tears in her eyes.
" Wow, really? How come?" Lilian asked. Elsa told Lilian how her father saw her at Wilson's apartment and when they came home,he asked for an explanation and when she tried lying, Lilian's call came in and he asked her to pick it and put it on speaker and that was how he found out and told her mom as well.
Lilian apologized for calling at that time but Elsa told her it wasn't her fault at all.
Meanwhile,Anna was standing behind listening to their conversation and was so surprised that Elsa did not only have a one night stand but she also contracted HIV.
