Last night
Xavier wanted to visit Leila immediately after arriving in Lake City, especially after he realised she had not responded to his message. Unfortunately, he did not get good advice from Sam, who claimed to have had girlfriends.
He tried calling her, but he discovered his calls were blocked. His natural instincts made him want to search for Leila immediately. However, he received a call from the Third Garrison in the Capital City.
"Sir, there is a huge problem," The director of the Third Garrison said with obvious fear in his voice.
"Speak," Xavier ordered.
"The cursed artefact, the mirror, has disappeared," The man reported.
"How?" Xavier asked.
"We are not sure. The helicopters all arrived safely back to the garrison. However, when we checked the helicopter to unload the mirror, we found it was missing. It disappeared without a trace." The director confessed.
Xavier's face darkened.
