Since Phoebe was around, Leila did not plan to return to the Campbell home for the evening. She wanted to sleep in the penthouse after the party was over because it was more convenient.
Unfortunately, she still had to go through with the welcome party Luca was planning for Phoebe. She hoped it would not be something too stressful. She could not be sure what to expect because she was not very familiar with Luca.
When the two ladies arrived in the apartment, Phoebe could not help gasping at the space, especially the view of the lake. She stood close to the ceiling-to-floor glass as if she wanted to fly to the Lake.
Leila was amused because it was the exact thing she did when she came to the apartment. However, at the time, she just felt like she was in a glass cage, and she missed the freedom of the village.
