Xavier became angrier at the response.
"Do not give me that bullsh!t," He growled. "You have spent enough time with Sterling to know he does not have a sense of self-protection if he trusts a person. And why would you even think about feeding on your so-called friend?"
"He is my friend!" Callum protested the implication.
"Sure, why did you feed on him?" Xavier repeated. "I do not think you need to be taught that friends are not food."
Callum sighed with a bit of defeat. "He wanted to know more about it, and I thought it was a simple experiment to satisfy his curiosity. I did not want this to happen."
Xavier tried to calm down as he looked at the older vampire who had guilt on his face. However, he did not believe Callum was so stupid that he would never have thought about the possibility.
Unless he was not in control of his vampiric instincts…
