Amelia was elated that Edgar Farrel wanted her to intern at her company. However, she was still uncomfortable about Leila's broken promise. As an intern, she would be more or less a servant, but as an apprentice, she could get real respect.
She debated in her head about saying something concerning Leila promising her the spot for the apprenticeship. But she did not want to seem too eager. She wanted to be self-sufficient and avoid using connections.
However, after weighing the options, she decided to say something.
"Is Leila Lawson coming here to intern too?" Amelia asked. "She said that she was going to intern too, so I would like to see her doing well."
Edgar and Elliot Farrel were surprised at the sudden question.
