Silas was uncomfortable with the friendly touch, even though it was from his brother. Or perhaps, it was because the touch was from Isaiah, who he found distasteful. However, he said some polite words before Isaiah left.
The room fell silent once Isaiah was gone.
"You should all get ready for bed," Charlotte said to the younger people before looking at Holly pointedly. "I do not want to hear you were too sleepy to wake up for school. And do not stay up late on your phones."
"Why are you only looking at me?" Holly grumbled.
Charlotte did not dignify the complaint with an answer. Holly knew her bad habits.
Without further ado, Amelia, Leila, Holly and Malson stood up. They said their 'good nights' to Charlotte and Isaiah before leaving the living room. The two adults were left alone, looking at each other.
