The meal reached its natural end with some tension lingering in the air. Leila did not mind the awkwardness because she loved the food. If possible, she wanted to come for another meal in the steakhouse without the unpleasant company.
Perhaps, she could even come with someone better.
Her mind flashed with the image of a certain tall and devilish vampire with glowing red eyes. She blushed a little as she sipped on her glass of water. She felt embarrassed for thinking about a man who was probably still stalking her.
While they had a pleasant conversation, she was under no illusion that he would not continue stalking her. She had seen the dangerous and dark possessiveness towards her, and it was unlikely to go away.
She should be afraid of him instead of fantasizing about getting a steak dinner with him. If she were smart, she would not be hoping that he was still watching her from the shadows because his attention belonged to her alone.
